Pearl Jam bassist solo album 2008-09-11 by ninjuice | 4 Comments | More than ten years in the making, Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament's solo album will be released on September 16th. "Tone" will be released exclusively independent stores and the band's fan club. Only 30,000 copies are said to have been made, and none of the songs will be Pearl Jam b-sides.
Appearances on the album include Ament’s former band mate Richard Stuverud, who will play drums. King's X frontman will also sing on a song called "Doubting Thomasina".
In other news, Pearl Jam will supposedly get together this fall to work on their ninth album with producer Brendan O' Brien.

| | | It's "3000" copies not "30,000" or at least on every story other than this one. (Ultimate Guitar, and Billboard both say 3,000).
