2008 Headlining Tour!

ESP GUITARS AND HOT TOPIC PRESENT THE CHILDREN OF BODOM U.S. HEADLINING TOUR

Highly-anticipated trek set to include support from Between the Buried and Me and a "very special guest to be announced"

Finnish heavy metal giant CHILDREN OF BODOM has announced a U.S. headlining tour in support of its critically acclaimed new album Blooddrunk. The scheduled four week, 25 city CHILDREN OF BODOM tour will kick off on September 11 in Baltimore, MD and criss-cross the U.S., closing with a bang on October 10 in Worcester, MA.

The CHILDREN OF BODOM U.S. headlining tour will feature support from Between the Buried and Me as well as a "very special guest to be announced". The major market trek will represent the influential metal band's first U.S. headlining jaunt in support of Blooddrunk and follows the quintet's red hot summer North American "Gigantour" live dates as hand-picked support for heavy music legends Megadeth.

Advance ticket pre-sales for the CHILDREN OF BODOM tour will begin on July 16 via Nokia Ticket Rush (www.ticketrush.com) with general public on-sales slated to start on July 18 and 19 via www.livenation.com. The COB tour will be produced by Live Nation and presented by sponsors ESP Guitars and Hot Topic and tour supporters Guitar World, Metal Kult, Rock House Method and Spinefarm Records.

I love the part where they said "Critically acclaimed album Blooddrunk".

On this elitist website, they are not critically acclaimed. However, Blooddrunk was still a hit with most large reviewing sites ie. Allmusic.com

Thanks you for not coming to Canada. I saw them on Gigantour and they played a few songs from this album. Needless to say, the songs sounded pooey!

Oct. 7th date is like less than 5 miles from my house plus 2 days before my birthday = I am there

Don't care a lot about COB but BTBAM is amazing and if this special guest is MORE hyped up than BTBAM I am probably gonna be there

Hah gotta love people who are elitist about metal...it's almost an oxymoron.
First date in Baltimore is right near me, I'll probably go.

The tour is sponsored by Hot Topic, so of course every self-important prick on the site is going to bend our ear about how much he's not going. Of course, he'll say all this while wearing jeans he bought from Target before going to get lunch at McDonald's and then getting back to his dayjob at BestBuy.

Anyone seen the hot topic clip from Pablo Francisco? Hey guys. I work at the hot topic, when darkness falls across the land.

This could be good or bad depending on the setlist. Their setlist at Gigantour was surprisingly decent. Could've been better, but I could say that for any band I go see.

I really don't care to see BTBAM, though. I don't the hype around seeing them live. They're really rather boring live. Plus, I've already seen them like three times. I wouldn't have seen them a third time, but they played with Opeth.

And I have no problem with trendy stores like Hot Topic or whatever. Where what you want. Although I could see people disliking stores like that because of ridiculously overpriced shit.

Depending on the guest, I might go, I have to see Amorphis and Virgin Black the next day though
