THA loses bass

The Human Abstract drops bassist Micheal Nordeen simply because he isn't good enough.

"RE: My departure from The Human Abstract." The bulletin went as follows: "I received a text for a conference call with the band almost exactly one month ago. Once we were all on the phone, (minus Andrew Tapley), they informed me of their decision to let me go. Their reasons being that I am not good enough for their band, maybe I'll be good enough in a year, I don't practice enough, and there's more to music than looking cool." In his bulletin Nordeen also noted that "There was no discussion prior to this conference call regarding this" and "This was a unilateral decision and not mutual."

his myspace blog is set to private so we cant link it.

They hired a studio bassist to play his parts in Midheaven so he gets no credit for it.

This whole band should quit.

If I knew more about this band, and it's members' personalities, I'd be better able to judge this.

Although I suppose that they shouldn't have let him be in the band in the first place if they knew he wasn't good enough, or wasn't doing it for the right reasons.

I just think there's a better way of going about things and extracting members than saying he's "not good enough." I agree Lightning.

These guys have just ****** up too much to redeem themselves.
They are so pretentious, the singer especially with his talks on multi-level writing, and that new song is over-the-top in so many ways that it makes me pissed off.

The bassist is probably better off tbh.

Their bassist seemed pretty good on their first album, I'm just saying.
And Aficionado, congrats. That was almost funny.

yeah, what difference does a bassist really make in a metal band, they're not tool afterall.
i'm sorry, but in lots of metal bands, even if they have an incredible bassist, the bass is so barely noticeable that they could have an ape playing the bass and no one would notice
now, if only in flames would get rid of anders for the same reason

I wouldn't say Tool have an amazing bassist. Justin has a few good lines here and there.

Who really gives a shit about this band anyways? This Message Edited On 06.21.08

A good example of this is Metallica.

Rob is a monkey and a beast of a bass player as well. I can't believe they dropped him because of that. They are just coming off as more pretentious every day.

He fucking MADE their live show when I saw them, and was easy as hell to talk to, and a super rad dude. I can't believe they fired him. Fuck The Human Abstract, they suck more with each passing day.

Wow. That is fucking stupid. I actually thought he was a badass, but I digress. I'm not a quasi-christian shitty metal band, so what do I know?

By the way, does anyone know why my avatar (I guess is what it's called) doesn't show up when I post bulletins and such?
