New Damien Dempsey Album 2008-05-28 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 2 Comments | Damien Dempsey will release his fifth studio album, a collection of traditional ballads, on June 6. The Rocky Road sees Dempsey accompanied by Dubliners Barney McKenna and John Sheahan, and covers a wide range of material made famous by the Dubliners, Luke Kelly and the Pogues.
The lead single, a cover of the Pogues' 'A Rainy Night In Soho,' is due for release on May 30 and can be heard on the Sony BMG website.
