New The Living End Track 2008-05-24 by billy33 | 2 Comments | The Living End are finishing work on their new album White Noise.
It was recorded in the states with John Agnello who's produced records for The Hold Steady, Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jnr and The Kills.
Singer Chris Cheney called in from Atlanta where the album is being mixed to tell Triple J about the first new song they're letting us hear. It's called How Do We Know.
"This was kind of the first song where there was a definite direction change. It definitely signalled this album was gong to be different to what we'd done before. There was a heaviness to it that we hadn't really explored too much before and the record kind of evolved from this song. I think it's a pretty good indication of what the record is about."
You can download it now at the triple j mp3 page. The album will be out July 19.

I like it very much, seems like they've been listening to Rage Against the Machine or funk lately. Very cool groove though, was not expecting it...

Anyway, yeah. That. It's... um. Good.
Might try for tickets to their Melbourne show soon even though I probably can't get to Melbourne.
Places are annoying.
