All That Remains New Album

2008-05-23 by BallsToTheWall | 22 Comments
Metallers, All That Remains have revealed the title of their new album to be called "Overcome" and plan to release it in late summer.

All That Remains have been holed up in a studio for the past month recording their fourth release. The new album, entitled OVERCOME, is set for a late summer release and is being produced by Jason Suecof (Trivium, Chimaira, Black Dahlia Murder). ATR frontman Phil Labonte commented, “I’m really excited about this disc. It’s a pretty different sound than our last one. It’s shaping up to have a more biting tone. It’s got tons of double bass, like twenty guitar solos and more hooks. It’s a much darker record than THE FALL OF IDEALS and it’s gonna reshape what people think when they think of All That Remains.” Immediately following the completion of the album, All That Remains will join the Warped tour in progress for a three-week North American run.

Sounds good. If the songs are anything like the 6th track and beyond of their last album then I'll love it.

Stoked. Last album had a few mediocre tunes dragging the rest down, but this bunch definately has potential; which I believe Suecof is going to be very good with.

ITS GOING TO BE DARKER, HEAVIER, AND HAVE MORE SOLOS. ITS GOING TO CHANGE THE WORLD blah blah blah same crap every other band says

Probably a meh record like their others.

Well if it really ends up like this it should be pretty damn good.

I liked Fall of Ideals, and each of their albums has been progressive better than the one before, so this might be pretty fucking good.

hey, the fall of ideals was a really good album
they're one of my favorite metalcore bandsand so far, from what phil just said, overcome will be good
of course, corey taylor said the same thing about the upcoming slipknot album....

I'll bet you all thirty dollhairs that Jason Suecof does a guitar solo. So what if he's in a wheelchair, dude can shred. And he makes it a point to do so on every album he produces.

Really? I didn't know he was a talented guitar player.

Jason Suecof is scary good at guitar. Listen to Capharnaum, or even some stuff he did with Crotchduster is impressive.

I liked The Fall Of Ideals a lot and if what Labonte says is true. this should be good. Plus Jason Suecof is producing so that should help.

Don't like the album title though.

yeah the guitar in ATR is the only thing that is out of the ordinary with them, i am not a huge fan of metalcore though; I'm not a good yardstick.

I'm looking forwards to this. I liked The Fall of Ideals and This Darkened Heart so I think this should be good.
