Agalloch's immediate plans are to remain low key, work on new material

Yeah, good to hear that they are not splitting up like the internet rumors have been saying. I wonder what direction they move in next.

The End is a great label, sucks to see them go, maybe they'll head toPeaceville or Season Of Mist. Doubt Southern Lord but curious to see where they end up. Awesome band as well.

Doubt Southern Lord
Southern Lord would never sign them because:
a) Their not a 'one-man' black metal band
b) Their production is too good for Southern Lord
c) They don't cater to black metal elitist's (Cravinov hahaha)

I like The End, although they have a weird split between "out there" metal bands and really crappy mainstream ones too.

as long as i can still get my hands on Agalloch albums i don't care.

Agalloch are insanely good. I hope their new material lives up to the hype.

what hype

I think that The End was the perfect place for them. I bet they sign with a bigger label like Century Media or something. Whatever, though, as long as they make some more awesome music.

For some strange reason, I feel Relapse Records would be a perfect place for them. Even though Relapse specialize in unique, crazed lunacy, they have always had their feet in the more experimental/ post metal waters (Neurosis, Minsk).
