|
| |
Why.....its such a fucking terrible song....
|
| |
lol, I think it is one of the better songs on that album.
|

Tbh, I don't like WTF all that much. I like COW more but the new album has some cool tracks. Brompton Cocktail, Afterlife, Almost Easy, and maybe Critical Acclaim are cool car jams regardless of what anybody says.

I agree Balls, but Dear God is a piece of shit nonetheless
|

Waking the Fallen is the shit. I mean, really. It's gotta say something when a band that
is constantly bashed on this site has an album with an average rating of 3.9 with
600+ votes. City of Evil rules also.
Their self-titled isn't as bad as everyone puts it, but Dear God and Scream are
absolute shit.
A Little Piece of Heaven, Lost, and Afterlife own that album.

Brompton Cocktail
Best song on that album, hands down.

Dear God is the single worst Avenged song ever.

I actually like that song. Maybe because the first time I heard it played I didnt even know it was Avenged Sevenfold. It is a sad attempt at country afterall, but I kind of like it.

Thank You. Now I know I am not that crazy after all.

a) This song would be good if it wasn't associated with Avenged Sevenfold aka the inheritors to Linkin Park's shitty pop-metal throne now that the latter have actually done something decent with their lives.
b) City of Evil and Waking the Fallen are both flawed but they're both great albums. In my opinion CoE is better for being more varied, technical and creative and for being a huge innovation on their prior sound, which balances out Shadows' worse vocals.
c) The new album is fucking horseshit both in concept and execution. I guess the band couldn't find a way to subtly sell out by making an album with consistent tone, so they made up some bullshit about trying to explore all the genres to justify the creation of garbage like Almost Easy, Dear God and Scream. I guess I don't want to rewrite my review of that album here but every riff on it is so generic and worthless and is pretty much a standard "thrash metal" or "country" or "carnival" riff rather than anything with any thought put into it. City of Evil has its weaknesses but it is truly a masterpiece compared to this. The only good songs on the s/t (and I mean them as very guilty pleasure indeed) are Critical Acclaim, Gunslinger, Brompton Cocktail and a part or two from Unbound, Lost and Afterlife. All else = fail

CoE just has bad vocals, if you can get past them its a very good album. WTF is awesome, my favorite Metalcore release ever. The new album is the definition of mediocre and how bad it can get when a talented band sells out. This song is the worst song by far.

I don't care too much for "Dear God". "Critical Acclaim" may be the best song off the recent album.
