Ola Frenning out of Soilwork 2008-02-12 by Aeksis8745 | 10 Comments | Swedish metallers Soilwork have parted ways with longtime guitarist Ola Frenning. According to their myspace blog, it was felt that Ola resisted the demands of the road and found it difficult to come to terms with the amount of touring scheduled. Ola commented by saying "After 10 years, seven albums and several world wide tours, we've realized that we have developed in different directions and have a different set of values, profession wise. The disagreements have reached their peak and it has become an untenable situation. The band's solution is that I part ways with them so that I won't be in the way for the future plans of SOILWORK. However, since I'm not gonna be on the road (at least for a while), I will now be able to continue with my songwriting and producing at another level. For further information, visit www.myspace.com/olafrenning. The page will be updated in the near future. Cheers to ya all... And thanks for making these 10 years with the band memorable."

That sucks =/ Best of luck to him.
| | | They were really fucked when Wichers left. This sucks though, Soilwork rule.
| | | He made a good choice considering Soilwork's last album was a total failure. Everything else predating Sworn to a Great Divide, awesome!
| | | well apparently it was the fastest selling album of theirs, so "total failure" is debatable.
| | | So who the fuck is left??? Both guitar players have now left... the drummer left... great we have 3 original members now (and they're bass, vocals, and keyboards)... not looking good.
Well, after reading the line-up on Metal Archives it appears that a lot of people have left this band at one time or another.... and the keyboard player isn't the original either... so we have a vocalist and a bass player left. This Message Edited On 02.12.08
| | | Speed needs to stop singing and the guitars are too industrial sounding for my taste. Always have been.
Soilwork has always been In Flames lite anyways.
| | | ^^^ not going to happen. Speed is a great singer and puts on a great regardless. I'm interested to see the replacement(s.

I was talking about the overall quality of the music, which I felt was a total failure. I dont give a shit about album sales and money. Smart ass! hahahahaha
Speed is a good vocalist. That would ruin Soilwork!
| | | The keyboard player wasn't even an original member, they didnt get him until Natural Born Chaos.
STAGD was very good I thought, honestly better than their last two
Predator's Portrait>Chainheart Machine>>Natural Born Chaos>Sworn to a Great Divide>Stabbing the Drama>>Steelbath Suicide>Figure Number Five
| | | best of luck, i hope they go back to old school soilwork now...haha
