Shavo Odadjian Scores Film

2007-12-11 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 10 Comments
System Of A Down bassist Shavo Odadjian is working closely with film composers Hans Zimmer and Atli Orvarsson on the score for the new Vin Diesel movie Babylon A.D..

"Musically, our objective was to merge the sounds and energies of hip hop with classical music, seamlessly melting them into an unusual soundscape," explained Zimmer. "Shavo's unique talent, perspective and ability have achieved exactly that, and then some."

The music is expected to be performed by Achozen, the side-project fronted by Odadjian and Wu-Tang Clansman Rza, who is also heavily involved in the writing process.

This should be interesting. I thought you meant that he was IN the film at first. Which would have been amusing to see shavo's long beard with the "twisty-tie" around it on the big screen.

I thought the EXACT same thing, seeing him on screen would be a little odd. Guess we'll have to wait and see how this turns out then eh.

Well, I'm a fan of Zimmer and Shavo, so this sounds interesting (if not promising) to me.

But only if they get Vin Diesel to sing.

Um, yay? I don't know. Not really sure how to feel about this movie.

At least Vin's working again. He had to lay low after The Pacifier.

This is probably more hip hop oriented news. You know, I bet shavo would be a more believable character than Vin "Unfortunate Last Name" Diesel
