The members of Green Day have posted the first three tracks from their garage rock/power pop side-project Foxboro Hot Tubs. Three tracks are currently available for streaming, and a free six-track EP will be available for download soon.

If it is the three members of Green Day, then how is it a side project? I'm surprised they didn't just release it under their name and make tons of money.

To be honest it's not all that different from their last two records that focused more on pop rather than punk. There are parts of American Idiot that clearly show the kind of classic pop rock influence that they go all out with here such as Dearly Beloved and even Give Me Novacaine.
