Green Day Hit Studio In January

2007-12-03 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 9 Comments
According to fan site Green Day Authority, Green Day will hit the studio next month to record the follow up to 2004's phenomenally successful American Idiot.

Quoting the group's manager, it was also revealed that the band are "going to begin stepping away from all American Idiot themes" on the new record.

He mentioned that the band was going to begin stepping away from all American Idiot themes, and that the new site wasn't going to be themed around the new album. I asked about the progress of the new album, and it didn't sound like we should expect anything too soon. Lets hope we'll get a full update about what kind of stuff they're working on early next year.

Many of you have been asking about the Q&A's, so I asked him the status of those. He said the band would try to get them back to us in January when they are back in the studio, because it's hard to get them together since they've all been traveling and now the holiday's are coming up. So, there's still some hope we'll get some answers to those.

Although I really won't care about listening to this, I'm interested as to what the heck they're going to do. Stick with the same thing as American Idiot or "progress?" Only time will tell! Stay tuned!

Believe it or not I have high hopes for this. I enjoyed American Idiot, but obviously not to the capacity of Dookie and whatnot.
