Staind commence writing new album

2007-12-03 by Alex101 | 11 Comments
Staind has posted a webisode from the band's Western Massachusetts studio on MySpaceTV.com. The band began writing its sixth studio album November 23 and sketched out seven songs so far.

Guitarist Mike Mushok said the tunes so far are split between some of the heaviest material the band has written and some of its more standard melodic fare. Singer Aaron Lewis added in the clip that things are going well and that he's staying "nice and high the whole time."

Staind took a year-long hiatus after touring for most of 2006 behind its last studio effort, 2005's Chapter V. The group also released both a greatest hits and video collection late last year.

Lewis did some solo dates at the end of last year and a full run of shows this past summer.

Nope, did when Break The Cycle came out and I was in middle school though.

I still listen to Staind every now and then. What I wanna know is who gives two shi ts that Aaron Lewis is staying high the whole time. Does he think people will like him more because he's a druggie and a musician? Drugs are great but he's sounds like he's just trying to get attention.

Maybe being high means this album won't be so damn mopey, like the rest of their albums.

I throw in Dysfunction or Tormented once in awhile when I'm feeling mindlessly angry or sad. I'm not terribly interested in them anymore. I used to think Lewis was a great vocalist...now he's just sort of whiny.
