good timing lol
| |
Total sync hahah
| |
Both far better than Edging was lol
| |
will this band please just go away lmao
| |
Why are they still a thing
| |
This is going to be awesome
| |
"Edging" was absolute dog water. These two songs aren't too bad. They still feel like they're missing that classic Blink sound but I can't put my finger on why.
| |
This sucks
| |
""Edging" was absolute dog water. These two songs aren't too bad. They still feel like they're missing that classic Blink sound but I can't put my finger on why."
Cause these dudes are approaching 50 writing music in a genre meant for angsty teens. What's their age again?
| |
The music video for "One More Time" was outstanding, but the song itself wasn't anything special. I dug "More Than You Know", but the band has made so many more interesting songs than both these and "Edging". Given that there's a hefty 17-track count, perhaps the album will have a little of everything and those said 'interesting songs' will be amongst them.
| |
Hell yes let’s go.
| |
Music for deadbeats and people who are stuck in high school
| |
All I hear is an updated "I Miss You" with overproduction and bad autotune.
| |
they're really hoping we fall for this self-titled rip off sound
| |
You can tell the age of each user by their reaction to this.
Hyped for this. I'm not a huge fan of One More Time musically, but it's themes and video and lyrics all hit hard. But More Than You Know has me a little excited again because that sounds like some prime 2003ish self titled Blink stuff. Which I'm all for. But this band has gotten my hopes up and disappointed me so many times over the last decade or so that I'm still wary. But I'm really diggint the signs I'm seeing and the direction they seem to be going in with that last song especially. These guys took their sweet time to put this together so I'm hoping we're gonna get some good shit.
These guys will always be my dudes. I'll always come back for them. Fingers crossed I'm not let down again.
| |
I can't believe there's 17 songs and Edging made the cut
| |
"More Than You Know" sounds like a next step for their sound after the s/t and was surprisingly interesting.
"One More Time" is ok; def agree with what xfearbefore said above.
But "Edging" is just terrible. I'm skeptical about this. I hope that there's more like "More Than You Know" in it.
| |
one more time is nice.
| |
can they just retire for good already
| |
Daft Punk cover song?? [2]
| |
One more time was suprisingly lovely. It would be a great song for them to call it quits on tbh
| |
Honestly I think this sounds like classic Blink. Really like both songs.
| |
Bland one eighty poo
| |
I really don't understand the criticism based on their age.
So what they write music for teenagers ?
Do you think kid's books are written by kids ? Do you think kid's would write better books for kids than adults ?
| |
Eh it's just that when the band was in their prime they were in their twenties. It's not about kids writting songs for kids. It's about 50 year olds writing pop punk. I don't see a problem with it. More Than You Know was good. The other two are meh
| |
if blink came out and dropped an 8 minute prog metal song and not a 3 min pop punk song everyone would be like WTF BLINK.
| |
I'm not listening to anything else until album drops tbh
| |
Not a fan of some production choices but pretty optimistic itll be alright like neighbourhood.
| |
Travis Barker aka the most overrated mainstream drummer there is and couldn’t even show his drumming “skills” in the One More Time music video..? Boring as usual
| |
Listen to those dummy hard drum fills in the chorus of "Down" and tell me he's overrated you friggin goon
| |
Gonna have a guess the album art will change to "this is our album cover" when it drops.
I think actually I prefer EDGING to the new songs somehow, and I'd rather be edging irl than listen to the song EDGING as well.
| |
Edging sucked. Bummed to hear that’s an album track. More than you know is great. Very neighborhoods-esque.
| |
bro I get chills every time travis says "one more time"
can't wait to hear how Skiba will fit on these songs.
| |
More Than You Know kinda reminds me something from Sum41 - Underclass Hero, at least at the start. The other song + Edging just sound uninspired to me.
Hopefully there are some other tracks on the album with more to offer. I love Blink but there's only so many songs you can write in this style while remaining interesting, I think I'm just over the genre
| |
More Than You Know is cool, One More Time is ok
| |
One More Time is if you inject a whole bunch of Machine Gun Kelly into Sum 41's With Me.
| |
One More Time reminds me of their own song Violence off of their self titled the most
| |
finally listened to these and they rule. more than you know especially is the money
| |
One more time i think is where im going to call it quits with this band. Its not super original but it kind of has heart to it. The song feels like a good and organic farewell and celebration of the band as friends and their career.
| |
Oh hey, Blink-182 is still nails on a chalkboard to listen to.
| |
One More Time is way too maudlin for a band that became famous for making dick jokes.
| |
Both songs are way better than Edging, shame that dumpster fire of a song made it on the album.
I'm sure this will be the definition of a mixed bag
| |
I mean I would hope being 50-year-oldish men they would mature and their music would become more reflective of that at least lyrically. I would be more weirded out if they just remade "What's My Age Again?" and that's part of the reason for me "Edging" didn't work. It's an awkward spot they're in, aging gracefully as a rock stars when their sound is synonymous with youthful irreverence. We'll wait and see how they do with a full LP.
Both songs are ok.
| |
Not a huge Blink fan but One More Time was alright, the older I get the more I can appreciate slower jams. Never listened to the other song yet tho, I got a pizza in the oven that I have to pull before it burns. Nice to see Mark back cancer free.
| |
Travis Barker is overrated [2]
Also the most cringeworthy person in existence
| |
I'd like to see them give black metal a go, some songs about aliens perhaps
| |
overrated how? Definitely not at drums.
| |
Two new songs are good. Looking forward to the album
Edging was dog piss they should just drop it from the album
| |
Sorry but how is Travis barker overrated? He's a killer drummer. It's OBVIOUS!!!
| |
Really hope he's able to shine on the new one like he did on the self titled
| |
What's wrong with Travis? Seems like a cool dude and he's a killer drummer.
Also really enjoying these new songs actually. One More Time video is really touching.
| |
They all jealous he changed his last name to Kardashian
| |
I think Edging is fun
Hasn't been a song from this album released yet that I haven't thought was at least pretty good
| |
Travis is objectively a great punk drummer. Chops for days, and hes just as on it as ever which is nutso for his age.
| |
One more. I'm happy
| |
my blink headcanon is they ended at neighborhoods and built this pool was a one-off final song tbh
| |
Neighborhoods was actually amazing.
| |
very underrated, i think the self-titled is still my favourite but Neighborhoods gets nowhere near enough love
| |
It was totally underrated. I think that album was amazing
| |
New song is fun. Really hoping the album is good.
| |
these songs are better than a lot of neighborhoods ngl. could def see this being a better record as long as edging is its lowlight (which isnt even that bad a song)
more than you know is realllllly good
| |
Hate the vocal processing on One More Time, otherwise it's not a bad song at all.
| |
