I see why Grimes bothers people but I love the song, it's catchy af. Super cool concept which is dark, dystopian & disturbing, contrasted by the sickly sweet sound of the track. Its strong melodically & exceptionally produced

If this was released by say, Caroline Polachek, Charli, A.G. Cook, Yeule or Magdalena Bay its score would be at least twice as high. Which is not saying much, that'd only be 3.26. I could even see Bladee or Ecco releasing a similar track.

As for the song, it has a lot of good elements, and it's fun. I have lost a fair amount of confidence in her as an artist since MA, and find her persona a little insufferable now, but this does not deserve the hate.

I like the chord progressions (is that what they're called? I'm not a muso) in the verses, I like the dueling vocals and synths in the verses, and the last 50 seconds is lush. Less keen on the vocal effects in the chorus.

The verses are the worst part! Horrid ostentatiously-slick synth tones and vox/lyrics sound outright first draft tier. She sounds completely high on her own supply.
