Too bad the new version kind of sucks half the time.
|
| |
im old as hell

Paper Tigers sounds better, hearing Ed scream clearly is cool, the harmonization in Silhouette is dope, and the drums are much more organic and lively. Everything else falls flat. Also, what is with these weak ass features? Even Sam sounds castrated.

I’d argue the bass on the verses of Stare At The Sun is also sweet on the new one.
|
| |
I'll have to recheck that one
|
| |
Under a Killing Moon, Abolition of Man, Blood Clots and Black Holes and the title track really benefitted from the re-record IMO
the only song that sounds significantly worse is All That's Left
"I’d argue the bass on the verses of Stare At The Sun is also sweet on the new one."
it was sweet on the original too. such a gratuitously technical bassline for such a straightforward song

| |
What they did to All That's Left is a crime.
|
| |
The ending of Cold Hearts is a bit of a let down too.
Some songs really benefitted, others not so much

Dustin doesn't always have to Dustin so hard.

I would gladly throw my back out then take a week off to recuperate if they came to the UK.

Missed the vinyl, missed the ticket sells...
Edit: Missed the vinyl, got the tickets (1st concert tickets ever)

They should have re-recorded it 4 times, each inspired by a primordial element

Silhouettes is the only track that sounds better in the new one. Everything else is poo
|
| |
All Thats Left on this really sucks!
|

Seeing that they re-released this made me feel like my middle school crush just added me on Facebook.
