Yes! Metallica are back on top!
| |
It's decent another 3/5 incoming
| |
amazing drum fills
| |
Too loud drum fills that's all you hear is lars snare drum it's louder than the guitars are.
| |
Pretty fun song
| |
weird theres no lyrics in the opening riffs but all i hear is the words 'butt-butt-buttrockicka. butt-butt-buttrockicka'
| |
this and lux aeterna are fine... but i really wish they'd have gone like ANY other direction besides this nwobhm worhship
| |
This sucks check Artificial Brain for REAL music
| |
Cyanide retread lyrically.
| |
lars and kirk are a fkn joke, riffs are a joke. how could you be this washed up? hilariously bad track
| |
Butt Rockers rejoice!
| |
I like Metallica's newer output, but this song is really fucking boring.
| |
Not bad, but I expect more from the greatest metal band of the world.
| |
Kinda like Load meets earlyTALLICA, it's fun I guess, but nothing special. The bridge is my favorite part.
| |
Kinda mediocre, and why is Kirk using Highway Star's solo?
| |
would have been better if it was like 3 minutes long
| |
Pretty good song. I just think the chorus has a weak ending ("Keep me inside | My name is suicide"). It's not the lyrics though, it's James' singing. That part should sound stronger.
"It's decent another 3/5 incoming"
For me it's more like a 3,5/5
| |
'why is Kirk using Highway Star's solo?'
haha, indeed manos!
the message is better than the song itself
| |
Letting this go on beyond the 3:30 minute mark = not learning from past mistakes.
| |
Not gud tbh
| |
Like Lux Aeterna, we can recognize different Metallica´s songs and times in this. I like it.
| |
Good lyrics. Kids need songs like this these days.
| |
Much like Lux Aeterna, it's aggressively fine.
| |
Where is the damn beef? Is this some average metalcore band or metallica riffing? Sounds so hollow. Tone is from some 90s alt rock band not from Metallica. If you can't play anymore at least distort that shit guys ffs.
| |
Lars has to be the laziest drummer of all time
| |
such meh
| |
Could use more butt rock, tbh
Kirk Hammy's the only part I like about this
| |
At least Lars sounds better here? It's alright, a little better than the first one.
| |
sucks
| |
it's fine i guess, megadeth and metallica are competing yet again for "most bland thrasher of the decade"
i will say this one at least sounds inspired and energized. most of hardwired sounded like it was written at forced gun point.
| |
Talk about the music not matching the subject matter at all. The campy-ness of the track almost seems to make a heavy topic like suicide sound lighthearted...
| |
I didnt even listen to this, but Wheres the bass?
| |
Yeaahhh upon another listen it's even worse than I thought. His drums are so bad dude. This is coming from a massive metallica fan what cracks me up is If your going to be a below average drummer like lars is now days turn the fucking drum sound down don't make it just as loud if not louder than the guitars lol
| |
mainstream metal production is just so so bad, I guess boomers listening to this in their ram 2500’s don’t care that it sounds like dogshit, but it’s just unlistenable.
st. anger sounds better than this garbage.
| |
This production sounds better than st anger but it's still kinda shit and way to clean/over polished. Your pushing it giving st anger a nod in any type of way lol
| |
at least st anger actually sounds like real instruments. this sounds like what an AI would spit out if you asked it to make boomer thrash.
| |
Lars man..I just can´t tolerate this anymore
| |
Your about 20 years to late chief
| |
idk why they don't just go full black album/load at this point
between their setlists the past few years and these singles... its obvious they don't really want to play fast stuff anymore, but it seems like they're trying to keep just enough thrash dna to show "the old guys still got it"
| |
Hahaha pretty much
| |
well they wrote pretty good hard rock and got fucking shit on for it for 30 years. fat sweaty metal neckbeards still hate today metallica for "selling out" yet give megadeth and nearly every other thrash band a pass. so instead metallica "bounce back" by writing generic thrash metal that's boring and shit, but hey, fast = good?
| |
What a forgettable track. Won't remember it after a day.
At least Lux Aeterna has a sort of rhythm and refrain that sticks in your head.
| |
metallica doesn't give a shit what people think, I highly doubt, it's a million dollar business, they literally have offices in california, it's a huge corporation, many offices in fact. Just keep that in mind. Not to say you can't voice your opinion but for anyone thinking about sticking up for metallica or like feel bad for them, maybe rethink it it's not as bad for them as you might think.
| |
This is a very okay song. 3/5 incoming.
| |
blackened whiskey and liquid death present:
| |
Still sounds better than SA.
| |
Lars is so Lars in this song.

Thank you all so much guys for another amazing track thanks hats off. The music video is simply something amazing, black and white execution, it has dynamics and style. Thanks a lot Masters Metallica James, Kirk, Lars and Rob. I'm really looking forward to your new album.😍😍😀:-)
| |
Lol
| |
Okay? They're clearly a fan. Why would you mock a fan lmao
| |
I'm not I thought the hearty eyes was a bit much tbh lol no hate
| |
Think they were responding to BigBlob pasting a fan's comment here.
Anyway, track is awful.
Sounds like something off Beyond Magnetic if they wrote it during Reload.
| |
I hate this band so much.
| |
I mean, it's kind of fun. Lyrics are a box of shit, though.
| |
it ok
| |
Guess it's kind of another take on suicide than Pantera's "Suicide Note pt. 2" or S.O.D.'s "Kill Yourself".
| |
old men
| |
not my bag
| |
Haters here saying it’s so bad like they don’t even know how to play an instrument. Metallica haters are a joke.

Metallica was my favorite band in my teenager years (I´ m 40 years old). Sadly the inspiration is no more. Death Magnetic is good but the last GREAT album was Black Album imo.
| |
Haters here saying it’s so bad, they don’t even know how to play an instrument. Metallica haters are correct.
| |
That "keep-me-in-side / keep me inside / my name is suicide" part ruins the chorus. It's a rather mediocre song but it doesn't really matter that much.
| |
"Metallica was my favorite band in my teenager years (I´ m 40 years old). Sadly the inspiration is no more. Death Magnetic is good but the last GREAT album was Black Album imo." St. Anger.
| |
All their music has had the exact same mixing for 15 years now. This song has some kinda cool riffs but it's not very inspired. This and the other song on this album feel like Metallica on autopilot, a feeling I also got from a lot of Hardwired to Self-Destruct.
| |
hardwired and moth into flame were far far FAR better singles than these two imo
really hardwired would've been a legit great album if they cut tracks 7 through 11
| |
Hardwired has some legit good tracks yeah. Moth into flame, halo on fire, bone, cool 3/5 Album its decent. New singles aren't terrible but they sound like b sides to hardwired. The bonus disc with the dio cover and shit they could of came off that deluxe edition on the 3rd disc
| |
also i've seen a ton of boomers comment on how amazing and artsy this video is when this is like every metalcore video literally ever lmao
| |
^^^
| |
most generic music video I've seen, but its in B&W so its abstract and earth shattering
| |
I just can't bring myself to really care about new Metallica stuff. It's functional but pretty uninteresting imo. Felt the same about the last song.
