A nice interlude song...but lacks any dynamic.
| | | was just kinda boring, tbh
| | | Enjoyed it but have to agree it seems like more of an inbetweener song than a full-on, dynamic track
| | | Good song, like the build-up, but overall a bit of an... interesting choice for a lead single.
Likely fits better in context (hopefully).
| | | Waited for this to ramp up the intensity in the end but it never really did.
| | | idk if this will be indicative of the next projects vibe and style or just an odd choice for a first single but i don't mind it
| | | I think they are just a bit weird when it comes to selecting singles. For the last album they chose a 13 minute epic and then followed it up with an interlude so…
| | | Songs was just ok. Kinda boring to be honest
| | | Very odd choice for the first single
| | | Reminds me of when Persefone advertised Aathma by just previewing a brief interlude of auto-tuned robo-vocals. Thought it was about to be awful.
I won't doubt The Ocean until the full album (if that's the endgame here) comes around.
| | | If you go to their website and fuck around with "inspect element" you will see that the rotating image with the countdown is named "holocene cover art animated".
So here you go
| | | Fuck 2023, another disappointment.
| | | yeah wait for the proper album ‘context’ people
better yet, erase your memory and don’t check until the full thing (presumably) drops
| | | Cool. Lets wait for the hevi ones
| | | Conceptually, I really don't find it much different than "Oligocene" or "Miocene | Pliocene," it's perhaps not as bombastic as some would like but certainly in line with their moodier tunes of this era of their sound.
