@mrdogthrow that happened back in like 2017-18, he's had like 3 tours/lineups since the zenieth passages guys quit but none of them recorded an album soo they probably wouldn't be put on any 'permanent' list. pretty sure he played some shows in 2019 buut whole pandemics just been radio silence.

I have never heard of this band and am shocked to see it looks like they were prey popular back when I was in middle school

faceless was pretty much what all my metal friends were practicing back in highschool (later 2000s), caught them during their planetary duality tour annd they were a pretty big draw for a 'deathcore' band

didn't hear about that one, last 'incident' was right when the zenith guys quit. they played on the same bill with faceless headlining but the van broke down and they showed up an hour or two late. than they only played like 15-20mins because they were too close to the noise curfew.

[also for anyone wondering why the zenith passage guys quit : keene allegedly forgot to pay rent for a storage unit and entire band ended up losing a bunch of their equipment]

My favorite Michael Keene story is one of my old friends was talking to him after a set during probably the planetary duality circuit. He was like “man I don’t know how you play all that stuff without using your pinkies!” and MK turned on his heels and walked away without saying anything

Love Planetary Duality but had the misfortune of witnessing these guy(s) live in 2019. Easily the worst performance I've ever seen. Hope the man calls it quits and gets a nice lil normal job soon

There's a video from 2018 where Keene showed up strung out as fuck, hours late to his gig with Faceless and couldn't play his guitar. There's laughter from the audience and as much as I think it's a sad story, it's some pretty golden cringe.

Sorceron was probably the perfect fit for them when they released the absolute shitshow that was their last record. Shame Keene couldn't get his shit together long enough to at least keep HIM around.

James is cool as well but I have a hard time seeing what it is he'd do for the band given his timbre. Maybe The Faceless will go back to straight Opeth worthsip though like what they did with Autotheism

Honestly just hope Mike gets the help he needs and doesn't continue to fuck over his band members and fans.
I remember saying this same thing around or just after the Autotheism album. I hope he has a backup plan if the band falls through.

All jokes aside, yeah Keene seriously needs to go to rehab, I'm amazed any promoters even want to work with him anymore tbh, let alone other musicians.

I like Akeldama and Planetary Duality a lot so it will be interesting to see what the future holds for the band.
