the production is really bad but it has more soul and energy than the Breaking Class EP. Vocals are wayyy better than that EP too. This could be great if they fix the production

Not bad. Obviously don’t expect it to come anywhere near the old stuff, but if it’s of this quality it will be worthwhile
|
| |
you know I think the song itself is pretty great, but good GOD that production is awful. Is the audio-clipping guitar distortion fucking intentional?? I absolutely adore this band but a full album sounding like this will be headache inducing. It sounds like I'm listening from super tinny shit-tier earphones
|
| |
massively overrated band
|
| |
part of that could be because it's on youtube. i didn't notice anything that bad on spotify
|
| |
The track absolutely slays and the production on the end product is entirely fine (I happen to have been a test listener for the mastered tracks). The playing on this is insane, album is gonna hit hard.
Edit: production on this YT version is in indeed disastrous.
|
| |
yeah the sound on youtube is really bad

Sounds pretty fine here

I'm at work so I can't listen to this right now, but I hope it's good.

toxik power
|
| |
It brings the shred alright. Just don't check it on youtube.
|
| |
why artists premiere new songs on youtube i will never understand. nothing to get the fanbase pumped like the new music sounding like total shit
|
| |
Thanks for pointing that out folks, indeed sounds a ton better on Spotify... Now I'm a bit more exicted for the album wooh!
> why artists premiere new songs on youtube i will never understand.
It's genuinely the first time I've noticed the audio quality being complete dogshit from the first listen. I know YT compresses audio pretty badly, but I've never seen it this bad before
|
| |
that is noticeably bad for a youtube upload, that takes me back to the olde days of like 96 kbps rips.
|
| |
yeah i guess the youtube upload is the issue, good god that sounds like dogshit. spotify link sounds great tho! i'm quite excited for this. who is the vocalist on this?
|
| |
Vocalist is Ron Iglesias, doing a great job
|
| |
Finally got around to listening to this, and I gotta admit I really dig it. It had that unique Toxik flare that Breaking Class was sorely lacking. Dreadful artwork aside, I'm pretty excited for the new record.
|
| |
Well this was a nice surprise
|
| |
Metal labels please PLEASE stop making fucking lyric videos. Also the mixing sounds absolutely horrendous on YouTube but fine on Spotify, though I can barely hear the vocals in that version still.
The song itself sorta has what I want from Toxik, like the soaring vocals and solos and progressive elements...but it's just lacking something somehow. Maybe the rest of the album will be better though.
