I know they had to jump off the metalcore train before it derailed but why did they have to jump off at dad rock/metal street… perhaps because it’s easy and doesn’t take much creativity and they just feel like staying at cruising altitude for the rest of their career, but I’m sure they had more in them.

@outliers in Australia most people who wore their shirts were meatheads and bogans and I was one of them. They were the one metal band that was cool for everyone to be into because the guys in the band looked like cool surfers as well so it didn’t have the geeky connotation most metal does

On the arena thing funnily enough they released one of the best metalcore sing along songs on Deep Blue: Home is for the heartless. I also think most of Aus has fallen out of love with them tbh as they didnt even tour Aus when it was the only option to tour. Then again between fires, covid, insane floods not suprised.

Credit where Credit is due the guys have always riffed and had gorgeous guitar tones. Song is pretty ass, haven't listened / purchased since Atlas.
