New Kardashev LP, June 10th

2022-04-24 by Fernando Alves STAFF | 17 Comments
US Arizona deathgazers Kardashev will be releasing their sophomore full-length, Liminal Rite, on June 10th via Metal Blade Records. The first single, 'Compost Grave-Song', as well as a vocal playthrough video can be streamed below.

Guitarist Nico Mirolla comments: " 'Compost Grave-Song' illuminates the point of no return in The Lost Man's descent into regret, anger, and madness. He is lucid. He is awake. The Lost Man finds himself standing in the spot where his father knelt so many years ago. Guilt masked by anger grabs him by the chest and he curses the earth beneath him. The death of his brother rises to the surface of his mind as a cloud of locusts swarms a field, ripping and tearing until all hunger is satiated. He clutches a stone and sees the ghostly effigy of his father’s hand doing the same. Images of the tragedy that took his brother away flood The Lost Man, and he remembers the fury of his father as the truth was laid bare. But… what was it, that grave mistake that manifested by his own actions? The memory is too far in the ground, buried under broken glass and isolation. But this time will be different. This time he will not be cast aside. He is home, and he would rather die than suffer the loss of his past for a second time."

Liminal Rite tracklist:
1. The Approaching Of Atonement
2. Silvered Shadows
3. Apparitions In Candlelight
4. Dissever
5. Lavender Calligraphy
6. The Blinding Threshold
7. Compost Grave-Song
8. Cellar Of Ghosts
9. Glass Phantoms
10. A Vagabond's Lament
11. Beyond The Passage Of Embers

I'm genuinely hyped to see what they can do with a full-length LP following their last couple fantastic EP's!

Man, Mark is a very animated vocalist lol. Song is good. The Almanac has some moments on it that hit me really hard, these guys have something special. Looking forward to a new full length.

Hyped.

I just hope they improved the sound of drums. They are always a treble mess.

Gonna jam in a minute.

There's plenty of potential in here, but the kick drum sounds like butt and the lead guitar parts stick out like a sore thumb to me. They feel so awkward and almost frolic which makes it difficult to take this serious and the singer dancing around like a goofball doesn't help lol

possibly great band, but they lost me at their debut LP; I know people like to rag on Fallujah's TFP production but Peripety's production is actual cancer.

Great track. I didn't really care about the drums sound cause everything else was perfect.

And I already mentioned this on my Almanac review but Mark Garrett is a beast of a vocalist. Loved the vocal playthrough!
