"The music video was shot in the aftermath of an EF4 Tornado that tore through Mayfield, Kentucky in December last year. The band wanted to bring more attention to the disaster."
If they honestly believe that only the music video is a disaster, i've got some bad news for 'em.

“hey guys, you know that tornado that left virtually half an entire town in Kentucky homeless? we should promote our new album there!! are we gonna do any clean-up efforts or accrue philothropic aid when they need it the very most? nah.”

who's the target audience for amv-core in 2022
|
| |
you raise much money or awareness to help out that city, Snake?
|
| |
I’m not in a band who took advantage of a poor Southern town in need of disaster relief for clout
|
| |
Oh yeah...Planet Zero is Shinedown right? They are the same band tho.
|
| |
Snake. sort yourself out. Your cynicism is blinding you.
|
| |
Snake they’re donating a considerable amount of their ticket sales to the relief fund, not to mention this brings attention to the disaster. I didn’t know it had happened. Hate the band and song all you want, there’s plenty to hate, but I think you’re being needlessly cynical about this lmao

"I’m not in a band who took advantage of a poor Southern town in need of disaster relief for clout"
coming from the guy who's shit talking a band who's using their funds to help a bunch of people in need for clout
anyway, song's not that good as per usual
|
| |
"are we gonna do any clean-up efforts or accrue philothropic aid when they need it the very most? nah.”
Are we gonna read the article before ranting? Nah.
|
| |
nah if i really wanted clout i would've gone after a band that is significantly more relevant than this one
"Are we gonna actually read the article before ranting?"
the tornado struck four months ago, a lot of families had to spend christmas day and a long long winter either in homeless shelters or dilapidated homes. 3dg could've at the very fucking least started a gofundme in the interim but they decided to wait until their new release was ready to use their tragedy as a promotional tactic.
|
| |
Lol, as cringe as this band is, you've managed to top them. 'grats.
|
| |
snake dumb as fuck lol
|
| |
yeah you're reading a bit too much into it snake.
much more good done than harm here. The fact is that they are a popular band and do not need this press
They could've done nothing
|
| |
First two singles were straight up trash, but this one actually wasn't too bad. Vocals were pretty good and the lyrics are decent. Hope theres more than just one decent song on this album

this song barely sounds like 3dg but i havent listened to them consistently since I was, like, ever years old.
Nice idea tho. A lot of friends lost tons of shit in the Moore 2013 tornado. About a year ago I did a video exploring the full path of that tornado and so many things were still in the process of being rebuilt, even 8 years after. Moore is an upperclass oil suburb too, so I imagine Mayfield will be in ruins for a very long time. I'm thankful to live where I am and to have not experienced anything personally, because people still get choked up about Moore around here. This will scar Kentucky forever, and any help to heal will be benificial.
|
| |
Yeah Moore was nuts
|
| |
man what's up with this "new" singer and lyric repetition? It's like his biggest feature
|
| |
cursed double sputpost
|
| |
Oh god make it stop.
|

Not a fan of the band really at all, but I’ve noticed they’ve done a cool thing in the recent singles. It seems the choruses always build and get more interesting and intricate when they hit again at the end of the song. It’s definitely a formula, but it caught my ear at least. The last single about the chainsaw through the wall is a very good example of this haha. Gotta give credit when it’s due.
|
| |
Haven't listened to this band since like 2006. This more or less sounds like what I remember, albeit with a different singer.
>man what's up with this "new" singer and lyric repetition? It's like his biggest feature
I feel like their original singer did this a lot, too. "Just Like You" and "Pain" come to mind.

Snake needs to touch some grass

Three Days Grace Drop "The Ball"
|
| |
jk his vocals are fine here, maybe I'm just nostalgic for Canadian alternative rock from when I was growing up, but this doesn't bug me. The rest of their recent output does lmao, just not for me I suppose. Can't really complain much when it's for disaster relief, that's cool of them.
|
| |
"who's the target audience for amv-core in 2022"
lmfao this had me dying
|
| |
i didn't know sputnik even had an article for this song
Snake hates TDG so much he has to go out of his way to find excuses to shit on them lol it's pretty God damn pathetic at this point
|

No one:
Snake: Three Days Grace didn't cure cancer while simultaneously rescuing 387535648976927439579 puppies from a burning building therefore literal satan
