What happened? It’s like they were going for a Naked City sound but they chose to make it not even sound good just for no reason. I actually laughed in discomfort when The White Cocoons came on. Shame, Selenelion and The Missing are some of my all time favorite albums.

Posted this on a whim, because I'm a huge fan of The Missing and Sables and because this came literally out of nowhere.

If anything, this sounds like an album that needs time to fathom where it lies in terms of merit.

Need to check; their other three are winners, especially The Missing.

Loving this whacked out zoinker, glad they musta realized Sables was a bit bland and came back with a sloppy ass avant shot in the arm

I found this new album interesting on first listen in a noisy, avant-grade way (Zorn comparison seems apt), but I’ll have to keep listening to see if it’s a winner or a stinker. Just listened to their debut for the first time and it was so damn enjoyable to me. Excited to hear The Missing (I’ve only heard Sables and it was pretty good).

After listening to this a few times it's starting grow on me. But it's in no way even comparable to The Missing

This was... a challenge to get through. I sort of respect how bizarre they went after the streamlined Sables, but it also strikes me as kind of all-over-the-place. Not a whole lot of standout moments for me. I'm comfortable slapping a 5/10, easily my least favorite.
