If anyone has to leave the band at this point, I guess this is the best case scenario. Still, Parker brought a lot to QR during his time in the band. Replacing him likely won't be as easy as it sounds.
Mike Stone has been playing with them again recently. I wonder if they'll go that route. Tbh I hope not.

| |
lemme guess, gonna start his own Queensryche?
|
| |
I was surprised he wasn't kicked to the curb when Geoff Tate left all those years ago since I believe he initially got the gig due to him dating Tate's daughter at the time, must have been easier to work w/ and more well liked than Geoff.

parker lundgren's operation: empire
|
| |
nah he'd call it Condition: Human
|
| |
hahaha
|
| |
these bands gotta find ways of getting back into arenas and amphitheaters, even if as opening acts.....queensryche playing in large clubs just doesn't pay the bills anymore
|
| |
idk man there was a surprisingly large crowd when i saw them with fates in 2019. but yeah the old days are over
|
| |
i hear you sonic, but were they co-headlining or just an opener?
a guy like parker wouldn't have even dreamed of leaving this band as recent as the American Soldier days....
|
| |
i'm sure the residual effects of what covid had on the music industry has something to do with it as well
|
| |
dude obv the ryche was headlining. fates alone would draw like less than 100 people in georgia lol.
but yeah nah they had a way bigger crowd than i expected, so much so that i was glad i actually got advance tix. i think name recognition brings a core group of die-hards no matter who's in the band. but yeah they def cant play an amphitheater or arena nowadays unless theyre paired up with maiden or somethin
|
| |
but for reference the masquerade in ATL is the same venue, for example, a band like cannibal corpse or morbid angel regularly plays and does well. so i wouldnt worry cause theres always some 40 year old chubby chick wanting to go out and wear leather and down jello-shots and shit to silent lucidity
|
| |
haha indeed
i would've always thought a local retail guitar store or coffee shop still wouldn't wet the whiskers like a guitarist in queensryche could
|
| |
Maybe they'll get Jim Matheos. It seems like Fates Warning is about to break up, and Queensryche could always use a song writer.
|
| |
Saddest news I've heard in a minute.
|
| |
This sucks. Who are they again though?
|
| |
"This sucks. Who are they again though?"
they havent been relevant in 30 years but come on man thats a low blow
|
| |
I say this as a huge fan of classic rock and metal but who the fuck is listening to Queensryche in 2021?
|
| |
You mean their classic era or their more recent albums? Because the former stuff is huge.
|
| |
This band doesn't get a break...(Well, they did the last 5 years, after La Torre entered, but still, come on...) What's up with their drummer, as well? He's supposed to be still in the band, but he's staying silent...
|

Dude, Operation: Mindcrime is the best concept album ever
|
| |
well, after The Wall, obviously, but yes
|
| |
"Dude, Operation: Mindcrime is the best concept album ever"
It is, but literally every other album i've tried has done nothing for me.
|
| |
Every other album up to Promised Land has at least a few songs that are just as good as Mindcrime imo. Concept-aside I believe Mindcrime's superiority is a bit exaggerated. Rage for Order is definitely my fav Ryche for instance (and sentimentally my fav album ever, so there's that haha).

Here comes Parker Lundgren’s Queensryche!
|
| |
Queensryche - Condition: Critical
|
| |
They're touring with Mike Stone right now. How's THAT for a reunion with a former guitarist lol
|
| |
cmon man, they rehired a hired gun
|
| |
Queensryche - Condition: Critical (2)
|
| |
Titan bro, I was sarcastic
|
| |
i know bro haha
|
| |
"lemme guess, gonna start his own Queensryche?" [2] lol
"It seems like Fates Warning is about to break up" - This would be the more upsetting news
