Studio LP's are a bad business model these days. Especially EP's.
I'm surprised that bands are still releasing albums in physical form, tbh...
|
| |
Except for the big mainstream stars, all music is bad business these days, if you ask me.
|
| |
You guys are making it really hard to hold out till the full release. Argh.
|
| |
^ start with Somewhere Along the Highway. It’s their high watermark. But they haven’t released a bad album. I started way back with Salvation and they’ve been on fire since.
For me: 1) somewhere along the Highway 2) Mariner 3) salvation 4) a dawn to fear 5) Vertikal 6) eternal kingdom. I’ve left out their first 2 records as they are my least favorite by far.
|
| |
^ I should say it’s really a toss up between 3-5. They could be changed easily and replace each other on any given day. I am a cult of Luna fanboy so....
|
| |
Holding out till the whole EP is out. These guys can do no wrong.
@Pickle: I don't really think it matters too much, if you like one, you'll probably like all of them.

Going to be difficult two months.
|
| |
Quality.
|
| |
Looking solid as expected.

Slaps!
|
| |
beautiful

I knew this would kick ass before even pressing play and yeah, it kicks ass
|
| |
My god, this is insane...

Well, generally speaking you are not wrong. What i was trying to say though was that, in the digital era it would make more sense if the artists would release their music exclusively in digital form. In my knowledge, people are still buying music which is sold in digital form.
|
| |
Amazing song btw
|
| |
Okay I caved and unsurprisingly this is awesome. Sounds like it could have fit quite nicely on Dawn, but having said that where the hell would it go? - unbelievable that they had this gem spare to spearhead a (generous) EP’s worth of material after dropping a near-80 minute behemoth of sustained quality in September!
Insane.

I love collecting music, so I am happy artists have not given up on releasing music on physical formats. I like the idea of media books versions of CD releases for example, as well as vinyl and even tapes for those who are interested in them as limited edition collectibles. It's the entire package that makes me buy it, especially from those who put a lot of work into the artwork.

@demon: it could end up as a wonderful mesh of Dawn and Vertikal. those industrial sounding drums throughout gave me Vertikal vibes.
|
| |
Nice, I think Vertikal is my favourite CoL.
Vicarious Redemption ruled
|
| |
I actually dont think this is a b-side, I think this is the the product of them having tours cut and having nothing to do for most of the year.
|
| |
anyone else getting Terra Tenebrosa vibes from the beginning?
|
| |
Oh snap
