Song slaps hard.
Heathen never disappoints

My most anticipates release this year. Sadly the song isn't very exciting.
|
| |
sounds like thrash in 2020 ¯_(ツ)_/¯
|
| |
^^That is what I got from this simple-in-design track as well, namely the main riff (lead guitars shred though), hope the rest of the album is better overall.
That said, vocals are improved with respect to Evolution of Chaos and previous albums.

quack quack quack go the guitars
|
| |
Solid song with some great melodic moments. The downside to the track are the frequent bog standard thrash riffs.
|
| |
Lol them mids in the guitars damn, thought they pulled this from the Songs For The Deaf sessions
Song is kinda yawn tbh
|
| |
the high fidelity sound of the vox mixed with the lofi retro sound of the guitars doesn't sound good.
|
| |
it sounds like they tried to imitate the sound from the last exodus album and lost it completely
|
| |
They should have stayed retired
|

"it sounds like they tried to imitate the sound from the last exodus album"
- this was my initial thought, that it sounds like modern exodus. Which is down to Lee Atlus I guess.
|
| |
and Kragen Lum played live with Exodus while Gary Holt was touring with Slayer lol
|
| |
meh lame thrash is lame
|
| |
Not really a thrash fan.
|
| |
As someone who was one in deep love with Victims of Deception, I'm not a fan of this. This lacks the melodic touch that made Heathen stand out. That "DEAD" part is also very very lame. In addition, metal lyric videos are the worst. Nuclear Blast, PLEASE quit making these!

Rather uninspired creations executed very skillfully? Yup, it's Heathen.
|
| |
Just copy Vektor bro

Everything they have put out so far, slays.
The new track is not standard Heathen, but maybe the rest of the album is, so let's hear it first in its entirety, before deciding to burn the whole thing.
I'm still seeing the glass half-full.
