There are a couple of cool elements at the end but this is shockingly awful. Legit, what happened to these guys? This song lacks any sort of bite and they sound bored as hell during the chorus, which has almost no hook to speak of. I know the reception to Natural, Everyday Degradation was bad and figured they'd be putting something out quickly to course correct but this seems like doubling down on the toothless pop rock that lost them a lot of good will.

idk what's funnier, that people liked Greatest Hits in the first place, or that they're surprised the band turned out not great

That guitar tone/riff/whatever is pretty appalling but the vocals are great and the chorus was solid. Not a good track but not terrible. Just glad they're not making boring emo-pop again

sure they've alienated whatever's left of their already dwindling fanbase, but on the bright side, dudes who are really really into franz ferdinand are stoked

Better than the forced heaviness of NED, but then still really bland

It's a shame how downhill this band went, Heartstrings (the original version) is a great track

I like this, but it's really sad that they seem to have alienated a huge percentage of their fanbase.

I really only like that one track they came out with them running around outside in the music video. That song set up expectations that were never delivered in my opinion. They are pretty vanilla
