If this is an effort to save their legacy from being eaten alive by 8-bit and Animal Crossing remixes I'm not sold

That New Leaf version of Never Meant bops harder than literally any fucking track off of LP2 and 3.

It's almost as though getting rid of Kinsella's vocals did it a world of good

Can someone fill me in? I’m out of the loop. What song of theirs has a bunch of remixes and stuff?

"Imagine thinking an emo band made their best album in their 40s"

Imagine an emo band actually making their best album in their 40s just like American Football did! Guess you don't have to imagine it because they kinda did it with LP3. Considering LP1 their best album is just nostalgia at this point.

No, it's considered their best because it alone created the modern emo sound that almost every band imitates. Including their 40 year old selves...

LP3 is good for what it is. It has better production, Mike's a better singer, and the band overall is tighter than they were on LP1 but I don't care. I still like the songs better on LP1 and think they have more of an impact.

depends where the impact hits you

in the lovelorn 16 year old heart or a 3# year old alcoholic

I suppose. But I also just like the melodies, chord progressions, and songwriting more on 1.
