Thanks for formatting this for me. The new single is fun as fuck and the new version of Love Never is a big improvement. Album hype begins now.

Bonus points for recognising the callback to the song Jen in the new single.

Album out same day as From Indian Lakes. Both should be great
| |
Dat sax though, was not expecting that. Loving the song, it's been only 2 listens and I'm already singing along.
| |
oh HELL ye
| |
i still listen to lucky denver mint over and over when studying/reading for work/school. very good song. will listen to this song later.
| |
such a great news
| |
So, so ,so fricken good! Man, I love these guys. Absolute classic JEW songs.
| |
Holy Epic ... I feel a masterpiece is upon us !!!
| |
something about the chords rubs me the wrong way
| |
In the verses or choruses? Can't think of anything irksome about the chord choices, and that sounds like the kind of complaint I would make.
| |
I just found out they're playing a show in 2 months in Harrisburg in a tiny little club venue.
hype hype hype hype hype hype hype
| |
Holy shit, I've been playing a lot of Bleed American on my guitar lately so this is fucking awesome news. I don't need to listen to the new Basement record to get my new Jimmy Eat World fix.
| |
haven’t listened to any anything from these guys in over a decade but man totally digging All the Way
| |
Great as usual. This band simply can't do wrong.
| |
I regret listening to this because all I want to do is replay it again and again. The month can't go fast enough.

Integrity Blues was a phenomenal album. the realist in me wants to believe they can't follow that up. the new track is pretty good, but its not as strong as Sure and Certain was when it first came out. That single was just so dreamy to me. Heres to hoping the boys can bring it together again!
| |
I go back and forth on JEW (loved Invented, didn't like much since) but man, All the Way is power-pop perfection. The verses are amazing
| |
Both songs are pretty good!
| |
gonna listen to this a couple more times tonight but first impressions are good. I also like this version of Love Never more. album should rule
| |
I feel like this album is gonna be a return to the straight-forward, classic JEW sound. They've been trying new things since Chase This Light and, though I'm sure there will be some interesting new things here (that sax solo!) this sounds like it'll be a return to their classic sound.
| |
Reminds me of Futures, and goddamn is that album GOLD.
| |
Can't say I enjoy these as much as I did the singles off Integrity Blues(think it was Get Right and Sure & Certain) but I'll see how it grows over the time. The sax part actually gave the song so much.
| |
do you want the work more than the reward?
| |
these songs are really good but a cut below integrity blues
we'll see what the whole album offers
| |
shoulda put half heart on the album instead of Love Never. still keen
| |
idk pretty sure I'm gonna love this more than Integrity Blues based on these two songs alone, haha. those lyrics in "Love Never" just hit the spot for me
| |
I'm not feeling the emotion on these as much as on any song from IB, which hit me immediately. These songs are catchy though, perhaps I just need time to delve into the lyrics. Just didn't get that immediate wow factor from Jim's vocals this time around. Nearly every post-Static JEW album is like a 4.5/5 for me though, so I'm sure it will just be a matter of splitting hairs between superb and classic, lol.
| |
Yeah agreed, lol. They’re remarkably consistent
| |
I'm loving these songs more than 3/4 of Integrity blues which I thought was overrated. Can't wait!
| |
I like the new songs. Since several people here have already mentioned that they haven't listened to any of JEW's recent music, I feel the need to say: check out their last album, Integrity Blues. It's a pretty solid album from start to finish.
