Holy smokes. This sounds huge and there are great dynamics throughout. Loving both singles so far and I think this one is even better than the first.

seems like we have another possible AOTY contender here

Can’t wait

Digggggg

"The band's previous single, "Mind Over Mind", was released on"
might want to finish that sentence
also, song rules
| |
So far this is definitely shaping up to be the second best metalcore album of the year
| |
Obsidian's The Outer Worlds and a new Norma Jean album coming out on the same day.
This is the very definition of hype.
| |
Absolutely slays
| |
Second best? What’s the first?

I foresee this being my AOTY
| |
Pretty good! Also, those artworks are amazing.
| |
They aren't called the almighty Norma Jean for nothing!
| |
Okay yeah this song slaps! Production is so good, a little clippy though
| |
Great stuff
| |
Both songs are Norma Jean at their best. Looking forward to this. All board the hype train!
| |
I always thought this was a meme metalcore band from back in the day? I guess I was reading the wrong websites back then. They seem to have good album averages overall.
| |
They used to get a lot of unwarranted shit because of their association with the Christian hardcore scene and were unfairly lumped in with scene bands that they had nothing in common with. They’ve definitely earned the respect they deserved since then and even sites like metalsucks that used to make fun of them are now fapping to every new album they put out
| |
Had no idea this was happening. Polar Similar and Wrongdoers are the bee's knees
| |
@space jester
Nothing wrong with Christian metalcore, The Chariot slays
| |
That’s not the point I was trying to make, and yea The Chariot does slay
| |
Since when did they start tuning to drop Z? This shit's heavier than the two fatasses in Underoath combined
| |
Lol
| |
Lmao
| |
Spencer's lows tho >>>
| |
god both singles are so fucking good
| |
dunno bout this, might make more sense in the context of the album
| |
The new album has 14 tracks. I love lengthy heavy albums
| |
Yeah, not feeling the second single at the moment.
| |
When Landslide goes back to that chorus one last time brings the hype like no other. This album is gonna be a monster.
| |
bangs. especially love the slower verse
| |
consistently outstanding. Still criminally underrated.
| |
Isn't most of their band gone? Great tracks either way!!
| |
Norma Jean is superior metalcore.
| |
Did you mean Mathcore?
| |
did you mean pedantic term
| |
boom
| |
I think the guitarist recorded this album with them before he was kicked out because of an alcohol addiction
| |
He did indeed record this prior to leaving
| |
Song rules as expected. The chorus is catchy as fuck without being pretentious. Really digging Corey's vocal work, he's an absolute savage behind the mic. Up there with Keith Buckley for sure
| |
Corey >>>>>>>>>>> Keith Buckley
(IMHO)
| |
When it comes to technique and range I think that might be accurate but the sheer ferocity and sazyness that keith brings is unmatched.
| |
I know this is such a little thing but when Corey screams 'YEAA' in Mind Over Mind I pee a little
| |
we all do
| |
Can't wait for this.
| |
When Landslide goes back to that chorus one last time brings the hype like no other. This album is gonna be a monster. [2] this still stands. In fact, it just gets better every time I jam it. I cannot wait for the new Opeth but my hype for this record is just insane.
