New We Lost the Sea album

2019-07-05 by Raul Stanciu STAFF | 21 Comments
We Lost the Sea announced their 4th studio album, Triumph & Disaster will be released on October 4 through Bird's Robe Records (Australia) and October 25 via Translation Loss (US), Holy Roar (UK) and Dunk!Records (EU). The Australian band also revealed the first tune from the LP. Listen to 'Towers' below:

We Lost the Sea will preview the album at an intimate gig (limited to 150 tickets) at the Vanguard in Newtown, Sydney on the 24th of August.

Regarding Triumph & Disaster the band mentioned:

"Triumph & Disaster is a post-apocalyptic view on the collapse of the world told like a children’s story and illustrated through the eyes of a mother and her son as they spend one last day on Earth. The music is the narrative for the destruction and tragedy. The words tell the story of love, loss and letting go.

It is a sad love letter about the collapse of the planet as told through a lens of intricate guitars and striking colour. The album deliberates themes and events such as the climate crisis, over consumption, isolation and the loss of love and trust. It is a lament for the planet, all the people on it and the beauty that will be left behind."
