Liked this better than Borderlines and pretty much all of Purple. I'm excited for Gold and Grey but holy shit is the production awful. Parts near the end sounded like someone turned a vacuum on

Spotify sounds overly compressed too. I halfway believe they do this to make his singing sound less odd over a really heavy song? Not sure.

At this point I think that the shitty production is some sort of inside joke within the band and they just laugh reading the comments.

they should've have made it sound so bad if they wanted that shoegazey feel imo. Riffs were great but the beginning was slow and the blasts didn't quite fit.

looks like these guys have been recovering from the disaster that was Yellow & Green. Both new tracks have been much better than anything since, and Purple - although not great - was definitely better than Yellow & Green as well.

how many of these guys remain from the original line-up? I saw them way back when Red was the only album to their name and I recognize literally no one except Baizley, although two of them might just have suffered from aging and haircuts...
