Didn’t Post Malone audition to be in this band?

Good thing he didn’t make it I guess

Wasn't expecting much from these guys after Escamilla's departure, but I'm actually digging this.

I actually kind of liked the screams but other than that this was fucking garbage. It’s a shame because this was my favorite band during the first half of high school

Not as good as with Dave but still enjoyable. Although it's hard to really enjoy it while knowing what big douchebags these guys are and that they didn't write this song.

however generic some thought they were before at least they had catchy parts, this and their last album just don't have...anything. Literally nothing about their newer stuff is memorable at all.

This band always has like two or three bangers per album and the rest is just rancid, horrible, bullshit. I'm assuming this one will be straight ass w/o Dave (I know he wasn't exactly "important" to the songwriting, but I liked his voice.)

Andy is such an unconvincing frontman and his voice is fucking annoying after a while. He can't support a band himself.

So yeah, this will be shit.

So weird periodically seeing bands that were one EP into their careers when I was into this shit dropping their 3rd or 4th LPs, haha.

You can tell the band isn't very proud to display their singer because his voice is mixed way lower than the instruments.

Rise of the Resistance was the highest this band was ever going to go (and it was the last album the band themselves actually wrote), and now that they've dropped Dave it's clear they're not going to release anything above a 3, or even above a 2.5. This is literally a Retrograde B-Side with a shitty chorus and a decent bridge. Hard 2/5.

I mean its not great, but its not the trash everyone seems to say it is. I kinda like it.

It's not trash, it's just unnecessary without Dave.

The band didn't write any of their albums themselves dude. Sure their old guitarist with the blonde hair did some writing but its always been the ghostwriter for the most part.

People only got mad at them for it on Retrograde cause it wasn't as heavy.

I think the only thing they wrote themselves was the first EP

Hate to burst your bubble my dude, but this band hasn't written a song themselves period. The vast majority of their music was written by some friend of the band, who doesn't perform with them. It's been that way since the beginning, I'm guessing that's how it is now. The only reason Dave leaked that info when he did was because a lot of the time during the recording of Retrograde the band weren't allowed into the studio.

I think it's weird how the band themselves apart from Dave never addressed the ghost writing thing too.

So they didn't write Rise of the Resistance, or anything for that matter? That... honestly doesn't surprise me. The writer's ability to create nice hooks is pretty apparent. I'm always gonna dig their first two albums (particularly their second), but I lost a shitload of respect for the band.

"I think it's weird how the band themselves apart from Dave never addressed the ghost writing thing too."

Actually they did adress it via a short "comparison" within the whole text about Dave. Something like "an architect also doesn't put up a building all on his own" or whatever poor excuse.
