Mammal back in the 'Community'

2018-05-02 by vendetta6 | 10 Comments
Aussie rockers Mammal are back with their first new music since their 2008 full-length The Majority.

After re-uniting in late 2017, the track "Community" and accompanying music video have been released today.

"Community" brings back the familiar flavours of rock, funk and rap that propelled Mammal up the ranks in the Aussie music scene back in the mid-2000s.

Check out "Community" here:

In addition to "Community", Mammal have also released a slightly harder hitting new track "Virtue Signalling" that can be heard on their Bandcamp:

The Majority is a stone cold aussie classic

these guys have actually stayed together long enough to finish some music which is kind of amazing

Sharpyyy - they're a really fun live band. If you like this stuff, check out some tracks like Nagasaki in Flames, Think, The Aural Underground and Hell Yeah

Doesn't this band have some association with another band called Full Scale? Both have some pretty good tracks iirc.

@cloakanddagger - Yep, same singer - Ezekiel Ox. He's very active in the scene in Australia - currently in Mammal, Full Scale, Superheist and some other projects. Great frontman but arguably one of the main reasons the bands he is involved with split up...

@vendetta6
Ah yeah Superheist are great too, seems like he's the Dan Tompkins of Australia, since Dan's also known for bouncing between bands: Skyharbor, Tesseract, Zeta etc.

Well this is a pleasant surprise, a lot funkier than I was expecting, but still pretty decent.

Virtue Signalling however, that was what I wanted to hear! Good to see these guys back.
