Telle's screams are great, but other than that it's a rather boring sound. His singing sounds super flat on this as well
| |
haven't jammed this band since Deceiver, song was pretty boring
| |
Well the drum work on life cycles was incredible so that’s cool
| |
Boooo.
| |
@Proto While that is true, Luke Holland is a thousand times better
| |
Holland is insane indeed
| |
Too bad the albums Holland did with TWA weren't as good as Deceiver or Life Cycles.
| |
I thought Real was great, but Life Cycles is my favorite album so I agree
| |
Real is alright but the production on it is ass.
| |
The bonus tracks for it kick ass, they're better than like 90% of the actual album lmao
| |
This is awful, band has been trash on everything post deceiver
| |
Feather stop this
| |
This song's ok. Might grow on me later. Their last album was actually quite good, so I'm remaining optimistic.
| |
Empire and The Craig Mabbitt EPs are both classics. Deceiver is a nice listen. Everything else is trash. I will not be silenced. I also own signed copies of all those CDs and had the opportunity to meet the band twice. They were my favorite band for awhile way back in high school. I just think they sucked post Deceiver.
I WILL NOT BE SILENCED
| |
I think my first account name on this site was IllPromiseYouThat after Battle Royale (cringe)
| |
Feather hittin me with the jabs
My favorite album in general is Life Cycles and this man shitting on my whole life
Feather I love you but you hurt me so
| |
Didnt mean to hurt your feelings Steak.. I am just strongly opinionated on this topic. ILYSM
| |
feather's right though, everything post-deceiver has been pretty bad. smoke monster was a cool song though
| |
Craig Mabbitt should have never left this band for Escape the Fate. His demos with TWA are top quality. Are you on drugs, the devil inside, casanova rodeo ... unbelievable stuff and I am still pissed it doesnt stream anywhere or have an official release
| |
Is Luke Holland the guy who twirls his drumstick after every quarter note
| |
yawn
| |
Band continues their sprint away from being interesting
| |
Really wasted potential for the chorus. It does nothing to benefit the song at all. Screams are on point though
| |
Song is boring and I thought their last album was their best
| |
Screams are on point though [2]
| |
Telle is an extremely talented vocalist honestly.
| |
Agreed, he's one of my favorite vocalists. However, he sounds super flat on this song and it takes the whole song down a notch
| |
I thought this was pretty decent.
| |
Screams are on point though [3]
Deceiver, you are but a memory of how good this band could be.
| |
Remember when this band actually had riffs? bummer
| |
They actually aren't bad musicians, they have just played it safe since Life Cycles. Hounds of Anubis still rips tbh
| |
should have stopped after deciever, everything else has been cringeworthy
| |
I thought life cycles was really good I'd say everything post that was pretty bad but that record and deciever were both pretty solid releases. This was pretty boring though.
| |
Why is this band still around
| |
This band is breathing just about as much life is as Blessthefall these days. At least both are doing better than escape the fate ...
| |
this band fell off so fucking hard
| |
I'll never forget when Deceiver had over a 4 average rating and my 5 (lol) review of it was the featured review. What a time!
| |
Real is alright but the production on it is ass. [2]
| |
Real has some great songs but also has some of this band's worst.
Life Cycles has some awesome songs but is overall pretty good at best.
Deceiver is easily the best/most consistent and Telle had his best cleans here.
Dark Matter was pretty solid. A few great ones towards the end
This single was fucking awful.
| |
what is this chorus. why is it so lame
| |
Right? The chorus lacks any punch, and his singing in general is so lackluster on this
| |
Grey why didn't you bring up the EP's dawg?! Easily their best. But I actually kinda agree with your assessment.
| |
Very doubtful that you'd like them anyway
| |
Yikes. I mean this band is probably bad still but grats(?) to Ryan who's been jamming in my local scene for a while now finally making it into the biz.
| |
such wasted potential. every person in this band is extremely talented but you'd never know it based on the shit songwriting
| |
When I went back to listen to these guys sometime last year after not touching them for years I finally realized how god-awful Telle's lows are. The highs aren't that bad but his lows sound like DMX trying to scream but worse.
| |
Casanova Rodeo will always be my favorite song
| |
Telle is really fucking good live
| |

This is for anyone that never heard the original 5 demos from TWA. Their best work.
skip to 3:29 if you want one of their best unreleased songs
| |
I really like the Craig demo, but honestly they are way better with Telle imo
| |
I put the craig demos and Empire ep on an equal playing field, with Deceiver just slightly below
| |
Feather, I never listened to the EP's enough to have a solid opinion. I'm gonna jam Empire right now though because I trust you
| |
How to build an empire, battle royale and casanova rodeo are all top tracks. The other 3 are pleasant from what I remember
| |
I actually just listened to some bonus songs that I haven't heard and I swear some of these are some of their best work. Pull Us Out Of The Grave actually utilized Luke which was dope. Apologician was insane. Smoke Monster and The Conscience were 2 I've heard before and still love to death. seriously, they have so much potential. idk how we get shit like this
| |
and Empire's Battle Royale has always been my favorite version
| |
Pull Us Out of the Grave is fucking dope yea, as is Exit Strategy
| |
whew, yeah Exit Strategy was solid
| |
So goddamn generic but the bass sounded pretty tight in the beginning
| |
Idk why they're so determined to suck. I know they can write fun music, they just refuse to, album after album.
| |
another new song and it is even worse than this. how did that happen.
| |
Only part of the new song I like even a bit is the bridge, which is still not too good
Why must they do this
| |
I will say, Telle didn't sound bad, that style sounds way more suitable for him but song was still awful.
I know every band says their new album is their best work...but how did they make a song like that and think it was worth hearing
| |
Maybe it'll sound better in context with the album, but for now it's a 2.5 track
| |
