tbh if they got rid of every single awful pop cliche this could have been a normal boring single from a band way past their prime.

I used to be a huge fan of them but goddamn this is dogshit. Not sure what Leto ruined more, Suicide Squad or his own band.

Leto should stick to acting, surely the dude makes enough money from that alone.

30STM's self titled will always remain as their best album and in my opinion one of the greatest albums in the 00's.

Super lame... this fool should probably stop acting/singing altogether, the man is obviously off his fucking rocker. Pretty sure Jared Lego has no idea who he a actually is, judging by his "method acting" and his sad attempts to stay relevant moving into his mid 40s. This fool needs mental help lol

Wonder what happened to this band. I mean, it seems like people hear this new music from the last two albums and go ''oh band has always been terrible like this!'' but they haven't.

Had to stop the video before a minute. That's radio bait for rock stations who don't want to admit they don't play rock anymore.

God, this is terrible and generic. Their ST album and Beautiful Lie were pretty good. I even thought This is War was overall ok. How did we go from Capricorn to this?

Yeah these guys have been tend hoppers from the start.
None of their albums were ever really original, is just that alt metal and emo suited them better than radio rock and chain smokers pop

30 Seconds to Mars amazes me for the sole purpose they started strong and ended horribly. Their debut record was unique, intriguing, and exciting. There wasn't much wrong with it. It was raw, gritty, and lyrically interesting. Fast forward 16 years and you're left with Jared Leto fighting to stay relevant. I'm not disappointed with this song. 30 Seconds to Mars have been doing this for quite a while now. I don't listen to their albums, but its hard for me to invest in them. They're capitalizing on the fame of Jared Leto, giving his fans what they want to hear, and moving onto the next album a few years later.

No arguments there. I wasn't aware 30 Seconds still had fans. Besides, the only thing you really hear from them on the radio is "The Kill."

Each album from 30 Seconds To Mars has been worse than the last. Unfortunately, that trend doesn't seem to be changing anytime soon. Which sucks because their debut was fantastic and A Beautiful Lie was really good.

Emo took a sharp left turn after a few years, but "A Beautiful Lie" was of the more tolerable records of that movement. I don't blame them for moving on, but its easy to spot a trend in what this band moves onto. They usually ride out a musical trend and move to another the next album.

30 Seconds no longer wants to do anything original. Its not that they suck, they have no reason to show talent.

You're implying they did anything original to begin with. They always were trend hoppers, but they were really fucking good at the genres they hopped to for their first two albums

I hated this song but it's kind of funny to see people saying he's struggling to seem relevant. In terms of radio play and itunes/spotify charts, this is super relevant. That big, synthy, autotuned Imagine Dragons shit is the rage right now. I mean it isn't relevant to his original fanbase, but I'd guess his new audience is probably a good bit larger.

I agree with you Steak. 30 Seconds played it smart from the get-go. They were knee-deep with the scene kids, and once they moved up, they took the money with them. As previously stated, the current alternative genre doesn't interest me. I don't know if I'm not meant to enjoy it or if I don't get it, but I can't find any alternative band to enjoy. Every time I turn on the alternative radio station I can't figure out if I'm listening to pop or indie rock. I don't hate indie rock as a genre. Elliott Smith (who kinda borderlines indie and folk) and Silversun Pickups were bands I enjoyed, but the current indie scene is bland and lacks substance. Alternative suffers from the same saturation that killed it in the early 2000's.
