I couldn't care less about the attention I get. If somebody else had made the same point I just did, I would have probably just said "yeah go [whoever said it]" and not add much more. I think it's pathetic that in your mind, any attempt by an individual to make a moral stand or publicly declare their convictions is clearly an attempt to get attention. The only reason I drew any attention to myself was to draw attention to the point I was making.

It was totally unnecessary. If by "Dave" you mean whoever posted this news article, Dave had the choice to write a topic headline that was actually pertinent to the information, like "Brandon Flowers Has Child" or something like that. Instead he wrote "Brandon Flowers Isn't Gay," implying that without evidence that Flower had had heterosexual sex, nobody would have believed that. Look, I don't have to explain what he was implying. Point was, it annoyed me, and just because it didn't annoy you doesn't mean I shouldn't be allowed to react how I want on a forum that is specifically designed for people to discuss the article.
