Was hoping for some sort of progression, I enjoyed Keep You for what it was but a second album exactly the same might feel a bit stale
| |
Gonna have to disagree with you on that one, this sounds completely different than Keep You.
| |
yeah this is more upbeat for sure
| |
I was surprised when that bass riff opened the song but then the song sank into more of the same, I'm not saying it's a bad song and it might grow on me yet but honestly even the vocal melodies sound copy pasted from Keep You
| |
That was pree goo
| |
About daggone time!
| |
not bad
| |
Are they just basically alternative/indie now?
| |
i like this yay
| |
Guess so, not such a big deal cause their screamo was only ok tbh (don't kill me)
| |
Are you tryna throw hands
| |
They were okay before and okay now.
Pass.
| |
track is pretty good hyped
| |
Meeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhhhhh
| |
Great song, looking forward to the record. Video's pretty cool as well.
| |
Everything from Old Pride through Keep You was fantastic. High hopes that this one will continue the same trend of quality.
| |
i really don't know how to feel about this tbh
and i liked keep you too
| |
I stopped listening to this band after Lack Long After and this was eh
| |
nice to have at least one current emo band that doesn't blow chunks
| |
Man, I really wish they kept The Lack Long After's sound.
| |
This just sounds really vanilla/sterile - there's no personality here.
| |
video is so cringe
| |
I'd be totally fine with this style of music if it was done better but as it stands this is just a poor man's moving mountains. Which is okay, I guess.
| |
please don't suck like keep you
| |
Not sure why but this resonated with me incredibly just now. Amazing song and video.
| |
Here come the inevitable Keep You haters again. You guys are like moths to flame. Back!! Back I say!
| |
but where are the screams?
| |
Keep You was good.
| |
Great track, new album will be their best yet
| |
do not care if there's no more scramz. they are really good at this style and it suits them. really excited for this. bmore represent.
| |
Charm City
| |
ehhh man they could have expanded on this sound so much more than they have especially with how they took screamo and molded it to fit their form
| |
Keep You was the first I heard these guys. I think that album was miles better than their previous records when I went back to them. Cool they're going back to the same sound, albeit miles more upbeat sounding. I hope they expand on it a bit more. I fell bad for people like Trebor who think Keep You sucked lol
| |
we all feel bad for trebor just not for that reason
| |
I feel bad for you if you think Keep You is their best lol
| |
maaaan i remember hearin repine for the first time in the middle of tenth grade math class while goofin the fuck off and bein blown away by the song. and then listenin to keep you on repeat for months on end cuz some of it just hit so hard (esp. late lives). imo not their best record but still sooooooo good; so i guess i dont mind em bein a emo/indie band instead of a post-hxc/skramz band; just as long as their drummer keeps tearin it up regardless
| |
Band slays.
| |
Next album will rule but their videos have always been cringe
| |
Don't like the album title or artwork really, but the song is great! Stoked for this.
| |
The thumbnail makes me cringe.
| |
not awful but uh i can't believe this is the same band that wrote those earlier MEGA ANGST scramz tunes
| |
Pretty good song, really love his voice.
| |
Me too man. Me too. It's so honest and emotive.
| |
I'm totally fine with the lack of screams in the new sounds, I just miss the massive climaxes from Lack Long After :c
| |
@Lewis Shaw my exact thoughts
| |
every band is better with screams fact
| |
c'mon boiz, we already have the hotelier...... jokes aside, i do miss their the lack long after sound. song isn't too bad
| |
"every band is better with screams fact"

| |
I prefer emo and skramz bands not to have screams. I find it hard to get any emotional resonance out of indecipherable wails.
| |
There's a certain desperation that screams and yells bring that singing cannot show in skramz and emo bands imo
| |
mixed feelings about this.
I definitely liked the venture from their screamo heavy years to what was a lighter post-hardcore turn in Keep You. This is going in a more upbeat direction which is not bad, but I just really dug (and still do) the Keep You sound.
| |
Are you saying they should Keep the Keep You sound? ;]
| |
bad video and will yip sucked the life out of this song.
| |
"There's a certain desperation that screams and yells bring that singing cannot show in skramz and emo bands imo"
a false desperation bc they can't breathe from all the lame screaming
| |
Nah b
| |
You don’t see how screaming can convey emotion properly?
Wat
| |
No, I said it doesn’t emotionally resonate with me.
| |
More often than not, a beautiful and evocative melody can be ruined by angsty wails rather than a strong clean voice to help carry the melodies.
| |
Guess it comes down to personal preference. I’m curious how this will be, this song seems pretty mediocre to me but I loved both eras of the band so far so
| |
Needs more skramz
| |
I like this a lot tbh
| |
skramz isn't music because waaaaaaaah
smart guy
| |
Song is phenomenal
