the fuck is this?
| |
Bland and awkward, as expected.
| |
absolute drivel
| |
Sounds like a bathroom break for Mike, the guitarist, bassist, and drummer
| |
Fuck this is just one of those songs that gets stuck in your head when you REALLY don't want it to.
| |
Modern linkin park makes me want to drink bleach
| |
Why they still try to make music XD This is so bad. I dont know why they keep doing this. Sellout LP
| |
It's kinda funny how hardcore fans of this band back in 2000 would perceive this. Sounds like a completely different band
| |
I mean it's clear dudes really don't like making music anymore and are just making a reach for pop $, gotta feel bad for the guys.
| |
this is a fucking atrocity
| |
lmfao when u guys say they sellout, but they've always been following trends and this is no exception, except it's worse than anything they did before
| |
wow the band that has always been selling out sold out *slightly* more this time. wat an outrage
| |
"lmfao when u guys say they sellout, but they've always been following trends and this is no exception, except it's worse than anything they did before"
this just feels a lot more blatant then before. and like, they've always stuck to that nu metal style thing prior. this, being a clear departure from that, just really shows what the state of their collective mindset is
| |
They don't even sound like a band anymore.
| |
why do we even have to call them sellouts, they just suck
| |
chester bennington solo project
| |
*Chester & a laptop
| |
Pretty decent apart from the chorus
| |
Remember when we all thought Minutes to Midnight was bad?
| |
sounds a lot like Behemoth - Blow your trumpets, gabriel
| |
Man this is so bad even Heavy was better than this
| |
"Remember when we all thought Minutes to Midnight was bad?"
Bruh I was thinking the exact same thing as this song was playing. That album seems like a godsend now
| |
I don't hate this to be honest. It's much better than heavy and it's quite catchy. It's still absolutely nothing special though.
| |
I could handle this new sound it the melodies weren't so boring. This song seems caught between a beachy summer ditty and a stadium anthem.
| |
Sounds like shadow of the day on chainsmokers. Better than heavy but sure as hell ain't saying much
| |
"Remember when we all thought Minutes to Midnight was bad?"
Honestly the first 6 songs of that album is the best front half in their entire discog. Unfortunately the rest is 1.5 worthy.
| |
no there are plenty of awful songs at the front and back of that album
| |
Well I read that they are using writers on this album that also wrote for bieber and selena gomez, maroon 5 etc
| |
I like Minutes To Midnight. It's inconsistent but it has some of their best songs on it
| |
"Well I read that they were using writers on this album that also wrote for bieber and selena gomez, maroon 5 etc"
Yeah, they're desperatly trying to get relevant again
| |
"Well I read that they were using writers on this album that also wrote for Bieber and Selena Gomez, maroon 5 etc"
album is gonna be linkin park's raditude got it
| |
Wait so they ain't even writing their own songs now
| |
its a collab. one of the guys with a credit on the album is well known around pop radio. idk about the other songs but heavy was a collab:
''The song was written by Linkin Park with Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter, and Emily Wright helped with vocals recording''
one other song ''invisible'' has the same other people writing with them
| |
I don't even want them to do 'heavy' music, cause I think ATS is their best but this is just so average it hurts.
| |
If you just saw their song titles you'd think this would go pretty hard. But nope.
| |
ATS is the closest they ever got to a good album. Seems like a product of pure chance now, given the amount of shit they released both before and after
WHY ISN'T EVERYTHING SO HEAVY? (anymore)
| |
ATS should be a 3.6 average instead of a 2.6 and everything else should be lower.
| |
this is the blandest and most generic pop slock ive willingly listened to in a long time. wtf happened.
| |
just told you what happened they're working with radio pop songwriters which is funny bc few years ago they were bitching about how shitty the radio was and how boring it was
| |
Sounds like it'd be good for an Iron Fist music video
| |
"sounds a lot like Behemoth - Blow your trumpets, gabriel"
Holy shit you're right, i can't believe people don't hear this
| |
this band is all over the place
| |
If this had the old Linkin Park rapped bits thrown in it'd be the greatest thing ever recorded.
| |
sounds a lot like Behemoth - Blow your trumpets, gabriel [2]
| |
Never liked this band, that being said, I'd listen to Hybrid Theory over this any day.
| |
Not as good as Heavy but still pretty good.
| |
if anyone was going to like it itd be you snide
will always love you
| |
Sometimes, I believe I can fly.
| |
Worst Linkin Park song ever!
| |
So banal...
| |
"Not as good as Heavy but still pretty good."
y'know I somehow knew you'd like this
| |
"this band is all over the place"
my thoughts exactly.
this band doesn't even know what to do anymore.
should we go heavy again?
should we go even more alternative/experimental?
should we make another pseudo-concept album again?
...
fuck it, lets just make modern pop and make big bucks
| |
Heavy wasn't too bad compared to this shit
| |
Worse than Heavy. Why oh why
| |
That was the worst song I've ever heard. You have to try really hard to be that awful
| |
listening to this and holy shit it sounds like I just walked into a Christian bookstore
| |
It's a step up from that crapfest Heavy, I'll say that
| |
in flames - battles > this
any day
| |
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
| |
Atleast not as vapid as Heavy, but this is so mediocre it hurts
| |
At least they're breaking new ground and this is def a new sound. I've never heard any music from anybody else that sounds like this. Maybe they've invented something completely new.
| |
"listening to this and holy shit it sounds like I just walked into a Christian bookstore"
"At least they're breaking new ground and this is def a new sound. I've never heard any music from anybody else that sounds like this. Maybe they've invented something completely new."
sometimes I love this website
| |
clear agalloch influence on this track, I can dig
| |
Not sure why y'all have such high expectations for Linkin freaking Park. They've been doing pop since Minutes to Midnight and the stuff before that was as cookie-cutter as "rock" music gets.
If you had told me back in 2000 when they first got big that they'd still be making music in 2017, this is exactly what I would've expected it to sound like.
| |
"I've never heard any music from anybody else that sounds like this"
lmao
| |
What d'you guys think drives these guys creatively these days?
| |
holy shit how do you make music this bad
| |
and i thought in flames were the ones who took a downhill turn, this is a fucking avalanche even by the already low standards of their career
| |
Weezer and Linkin Park in a neck and neck race for lamest pop album of 2017
| |
I didn't know it could get worse than "Heavy".
It did.
| |
I actually prefer this bilge to their early rubbish.
| |
As bland as this new stuff is, if it gets them on pop radio I won't mind. Still rather hear this than Chainsmokers and Ed Sheeran
| |
literally sounds like chainsmokers but not self-aware though
| |
That chorus is plain gross really
Awful song
| |
Yeah you can kinda hear some potential at first...and then the chorus comes and completely kills what little momentum there was. They've always been pretty bland but at least they could write good choruses back in the day
| |
Linkin Park are at the mercy of their record label and executives now. The Hunting Party was a commercial flop when stacked against all their other records and it was proof enough that there isn't a big enough market for their slice of rock music. Now they gotta be the Chainsmokers.
| |
For a track called "Battle Symphony" this invokes neither any trace of battles and hardly an inkling of symphonies
| |
the video is beautiful theres no denying that
| |
The sound of LP on their knees, slurping away.
| |
bands whole career is an identity crisis, every album.
| |
Of course THP was a flop, it was their second worst album to date.
Both this and Heavy are better than basically that entire album.
| |
How the hell
| |
???
| |
wow this is awful
| |
"I like Minutes To Midnight. It's inconsistent but it has some of their best songs on it"
The Little Things Give You Away is the like the only good song on that album. This new album is sounding bland AF, the complete opposite direction I wanted them to go in but whatevs, I'll still check the new one for at least one standout track.
Again, selling out would've been them making Hybrid Theory over and over again for all those saying they sold out (highly doubt the band needs money after HT selling thirty fucking million). Also surprised after 13 years of LP not being a Nu-Metal band people are still butthurt about it.
| |
their albums are so forgettable that most fans think they stopped making music after minutes to midnight.
| |
I would find it hilarious if this turned out to be their most selling record.
| |
Watch the entire album actually not sound like this at all and these first two singles (and other impending ones before the release) are just half assed remixes
| |
^It's been confirmed by Mike that this is how the whole album sounds like apart from the title track.
| |
Sounds like Chester wants to go solo with this poppy rubbish
| |
this is painfully generic, at least they have finally done something that is offensively bad
| |
they were offensively bad from the start
| |
Not that much, they were more like a underwhelming band, that have release some decent stuff and some bad stuff, but they were never this bad
| |
sigh, from The Hunting Party to this... kinda sad
| |
someone just changed all their recommended acts to owl city, Katy perry, lorde, twenty one pilots and the chainsmokers lol
| |
Do I expect any more or any less from Linkin Park?
| |
sorry millennium wankers, this band was never good.
| |
LP always got me hyped for new records, this is the first time i'm genuinely dissapointed. Not because it is a pop record, but because the music is so uninspired and bland. They didn't even fully write the songs themselves. This wouldn't be a problem if it didn't show but it does
| |
Black shoes, black skinny jeans, black hoodie covered by a jean jacket.
Angsty, tall, lanky youth in the 16-24 age bracket.
Slow, mellow, moody electronic with lyrics about being "weird," an "outcast," "struggling to fit in"...
This is the epitome of millennial "alternative" run rampant in US cities such as Los Angeles.
| |
sheesh this is bad and i kind of liked the single before this
| |
why is Ed Sheeran releasing two albums this year?
| |
Onya chester
| |
this band once said ''we are known for high energy sets and if we keep making these slow tempo songs its not very exciting'' or some shit like that.
| |
source?
| |
Well Linkin Park fans, I hope you like Christian worship music
| |
they probably do
| |
