There's always like 5 or so bands worth seeing and then the rest is just trash
|
| |
Hmm might peep the DC date although I hear that warped tour is just kinda shitty all around experience wise.
|
| |
warped last year was terrible
|
| |
maybe if this festival was actually still a punk festival and not the annual hot topic enthusiasts meet-up it would still have credibility
|
| |
was it ever a punk festival
|
| |
*edit*
|
| |
damnit they edited this and deleted my comment :[
why they always deletin what I got to say
|
| |
Same here. I am on mobile so it's not worth repeating twice even though I had been talking about the article too. I would have edited after learning but oh well
|
| |
idk warped is always a very on/off fest, it's either really good (2015 had the wonder years, PUP, moose blood, citizen before they got weird, good knuckle puck set, august burns red, etc etc) or really unenthused and lackluster (2016 was mostly generic core off of rise and fearless, or washed up pop punk bands from the early 2000's, and not even the good kind, like the good charlotte and sum 41 kind) so it really depends on how the lineup is chosen, and the layout of it is next time. also kinda confused that they moved the st pete date to tampa :/

Warped 2015 had a sick lineup if you're into screamo: Asking Alexandria, Beartooth, blessthefall, Black Veil Brides, Memphis May Fire, Senses Fail, Silverstein, Knuckle Puck, Miss May I, Piece the Veil, Major League, We Came As Romans, and others.
Plus motherfucking Riff Raff was there. Solid show.
|
| |
"screamo"
Then proceeds to name a bunch of metalcore bands
|
| |
Warped usually has a couple of solid bands. Plus tickets are pretty cheap by comparison so I'll be checking out the line up. Sucks to know Yellowcard won't be on it though.
|
| |
Been to one Warped Tour in 2013 I believe and it was pretty fun. Basically only went for The Chariot and when they played, like no one showed up to their set because fucking Bring Me the Horizon were playing at the same time and everyone went to their set. Felt bad for The Chariot but they slayed and I got to be up close to the stage and after the set got to meet all the guys and got a picture with Josh Scogin.
|
| |
Maybe this year it won't suck. It has since 2013 with The Chariot though
|
| |
2016 monster stage lineup was sick af but I like shitty core music so what do I know.
|
| |
If there's 3 bands I like at Warped I'll go just for the experience.
|
| |
yeah nothing beats walking around in 95 degree weather listening to shitty core bands that are indistinguishable from one another and drinking $10 waters with verizon ads everywhere. such a life affirming experience. punk rawk.
go support your local shithole rock venue and stop giving your parents' money to these thieves.

Things I wish didn't exist anymore for 800

holy crap that is a tragedy. would kill to see that glorious band play live, meanwhile bmth cancel arena tours because their vocalist doesn't use proper technique smh
|
| |
I bet all the 14 year olds out there are really excited!
|
| |
"Then proceeds to name a bunch of metalcore bands"
Oh shit its the genre police. Time to revoke my sputnik license.
|
| |
"Time to revoke my sputnik license."
Can we?
|
| |
maybe if this festival was actually still a punk festival
yeah the golden days of pank with fat wreck chords and epitaph amirite?
|
| |

You deserve none of my wit and wisdom fukface

Your defense straight up doesn't make sense. Imagine if you had a carrot, and you were like "Hey look at this piece of meat I have" and someone was like "That's a vegetable dude" and you were like "Oh shit it's the food label police, time to revoke my eating license" Everyone would look at you like you had fucking brain damage

I don't know man about 98% people on this planet think Alesana when they hear 'screamo' it's time to just give this fight up and call Orchid something else. It's like the people who complain when people use 'begging the question' incorreectly. It's a lost cause, give it up.
|
| |
"about 98% people on this planet think Alesana when they hear 'screamo'"
quite possibly the dumbest thing i've ever read on this site
|
| |
I don't see what's so dumb about that but ok.
|
| |
lol at one point 98% thought the Earth was flat dude, that's not a very good argument
|
| |
probably the idea that 98% of the world's population has any fucking idea what screamo or alesana are. you're doing your best, though. don't get discouraged kiddo.
|
| |
MOST PEOPLE ARE WRONG, THEREFORE WE SHOULD JUST GO WITH IT
|
| |
My amazing poast got deleted :-(
Trebor your analogies are shit but otherwise, ok dude.
Voltaire your idiocy astounds me. I believe the practice of abortion is a grave sin and should never be done but if your mother had decided to abort you i think perhaps it might have been justified. She however is a saint for having brought you to term.
Good day sirs.
|
| |
lol is this dude for real?
|
| |
i kinda hope so tbh
|
| |
It's called post-irony boys. Get used to it this is Trump's America now!
|
| |
I mean those weren't screamo bands, I just corrected him by saying they were metalcore
|
| |
Does it have screams?
a. Yes b. No c. Maybe
If a. it is screamo.
If b. is it emo
If c. it is jazz fusion.
|
| |
Let's just say that everything is experimental post-metal jazz fusion and leave it at that
|
| |
MMM genre arguments
nom nom nom
