So they finally managed to fit a music video into their budget

I thought music videos were over for these guys. THe last few have sucked balls.
Was not expecting to see this in the news feed. Very happy now. Great vid

Well they said they were done with them until they could come up with an idea that they really liked for a music video so I guess they finally did that. I quite liked it. Makes a good change from the usual band performance music videos that they make.

A Chevy video, yay!

Mark Wahlberg's killin' it as usual.
In all seriousness though, I'm glad to see these guys making music videos again. Their last video, which I believe was "Hats Off", was not very good lol.

"the second single off of their latest 3.8 album"
Lmfao.

What was that popular animal movie with the sloth smiling real big in a slow manner? I did that exact thing when I read "3.8 band"

Holy fuck LaGargola's potential for amazing videos is off the charts how can you not have ideas for videos with that one

Zootopia?

Checked chevelle ratings after the 3.8 comment. Was not disappointed.

Cool video. Hopefully they'll make one for Rivers (hopefully it'll be the next single)

Chevelle has to be the most consistent band on this entire site. The literal sweet spot--3.8 with so little variation since the year 2000.
|

Is the 3.8 a joke sputnik users try for this band? Never understood how everyone really likes these guys. Even when I really liked this style of music when I was younger, Chevelle was boring to me.

One of my friends genuinely thought it was Pete in Deepwater Horizon

Chevelle has stayed in my heart for a long time because they've played around with their sound just enough while other mainstream bands of similar sound have just been trying to relive the glory days of early 2000s hard rock and nu-metal. And Pete's vocals are very distinct. No one really sounds like him and they are just a really positive and laid back band live. That said, really do not like North Corridor too much. His melodies are weak, and most of the songs feel like they drag on aimlessly. But I enjoyed most their albums for like, over an entire decade of my life growing up and some of them are still enjoyable (especially Sci-Fi Crimes, it has like one weak song but everything else is gold). Its just inevitable that some bands...peter out. huehuehue

^Pretty much my thoughts

Some of their early to mid stuff had some truly interesting/cool shit, but the last 3 have been mehhh. Even though they're still solid albums they haven't been able to recapture that edge they had back in the WWN days. Stuff like Family System https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vej5BipygEQ .. that was when they were worth listening to.

I've loved them consistently, but I do miss the melody on this album. It's still got killer stuff on it.

Album deserves at least a 3.9 ):

I find Chevelle is weird for me. The only album that was love on first listen was Wonder What's Next and my pants flew off (besides that one atrocious acoustic track...holy fuck my ears hurt). Every other album grew on me out of nowhere. The North Corridor is the probably going to be the same exact way. Right now it's not really clicking with me, but I can almost bet I'm gonna get one of their songs stuck in my head and then I'm just gonna go back to the album and love it.

Funny how after ages, Hats Off to the Bull has the 3.8 rating too haha.
