Swedish dark progressive metal band Evergrey has revealed a number of details about its upcoming 10th studio album titled The Storm Within. The album is slated for a September 9th release via AFM records, has 11 tracks, and according to the band is the strongest album of their career to mark the band's 20th anniversary.

Three videos have been shot by longtime collaborator Patric Ullaeus with the intension of making this the most "cinematic" Evergrey album released to date, and will be shared leading up to the album release. 'Distance' is set to be the first of these videos. Guest musicians have also featured on the album as seen via the band's shared videos on Facebook, with two guest vocalists including Floor Jansen of Nightwish, and band leader Tom Englund's wife Carina.

Band statement:

"The band's trademark progressive, dark and melancholic elements are as strong as ever, the album ranks as one of the most progressive record they've created in terms of performance, but Evergrey managed to put it in a package that is more accessible and direct compared to any of their nine previous outings."

Tracklist:

01. Distance
02. Passing Through
03. Someday
04. Astray
05. The Impossible
06. My Allied Ocean
07. In Orbit (feat. Floor Jansen)

09. The Paradox Of The Flame (feat. Carina Englund)

WANT WANT WANT!! This is the worst case of blue balls. Hopefully they release the first video SOON

Floor's collaboration should be good, but I'm much happier that Carina is finally back

It'll have some cheese for sure. The last album did as well. Hoping for it to be more risky though

If it's even better than Hymns, we're in for a treat.

Title and descriptions seem really generic. I guess it will be good as usual, but I'm not really buying into this "strongest album" thing.

Yeah that's a pretty common statement from most bands. It has to be mind blowing in order to be better than albums 2 to 5
