Lost all respect for this band since I learned that their guitarists both play rhythm live and they have a backing track for the lead.
As if this is some virtuosic shit that requires the skills of a guitar god to play.
Song is bad.

hahahahahaha what complete fucking twats
|
| |
the fuck kind of title is this
|
| |
also band is shit parkway drive copycats
|
| |
Parkway doesn't have those cringe inducing cleans though.
|
| |
never thought they sounded like parkway outside of being Australian metalcore
|
| |
Yeah not much comparison to Parkway. Always had a soft spot for them. Decent song.
|
| |
Never got into this band due to the cleans. And lol at needing a backtrack when they have two guitarists.
Edit: Here's a video of them backtracking, if you don't believe him.

Both vocalists are the weak links here. In fact, they ruin the song for me. The instrumentation here is pretty great though. That solo in particular is gorgeous.

for real? thats really lame

Look with the shredding leads and sweeps these guys don't do it gets tiring so they take a break.
|
| |
Lost interest with this band after Youngbloods
|
| |
I think I remember reading somewhere that the vocalist said they have a backing track for bass so he can focus on his vocals.
It's pretty obvious here at 1:56ish https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=52oza_-h3Vc
|
| |
Could always just learn to do both since playing music is literally his job.
|
| |
Lame. Band doesn't evolve.
Edit: Thanks for letting me know about the backtracking thing Comatorium. Removed all their stuff from my album list on Deezer.
|
| |
Yeah, theres really no excuse for not being able to do both. It just comes off as incredibly lazy.
|
| |
Just watched some live videos. They suck despite half of it being prerecorded lol. Screamer's too good for this band.

Lol why.
Song sucks unfortunately.

Holy fuck those cleans are awful live. Dude picked the wrong thing to backing track.
|
| |
Band has always been boring, trite metalcore
|
| |
"TAA Live: https://youtu.be/xb2k3C57LdI?t=3m9s"
That sounds awful, I remember seeing them live a few years back and they sounded infinitely better
|
| |
This band actually used to be much better around their first two albums.
|
| |
Song is actually really good, the ending solo in particular. Course, I assume everyone is too caught up in bitching about their live performance to bother listening to the actual song.
|
| |
They have been playing safe since youngbloods. YB was a fantastic album everything else has been literally the same
|
| |
Decent song but I just get the feeling these guys don't even try anymore when it comes to new material
|
| |
Nah I listened to the song, it sucks.
|
| |
"Lost all respect for this band since I learned that their guitarists both play rhythm live and they have a backing track for the lead."
That's painful.
Song's okay though.
|
| |
Song's the same like on the past 2 or 3 albums. They don't deserve any popularity if they can't even play such unspectacular riffs live. I bet most of the scene kids don't even know.
|
| |
Unashamed fanboy since High Hopes was released. For someone who has followed their career very closely I can say i'm quite excited by this song. Shine On was ok but felt so similar to everything off 'Let The Ocean...' Glad to see it isn't going to be on the new record.
As for this track, the solo and lack of breakdowns was a step forward plus its catchy as... a really catchy thing.
|
| |
I still like them
