Antarctigo Vespucci debut album

Dear friends and punk celebrities Chris Farren (of Fake Problems) and Jeff Rosenstock (of Bomb the Music Industry!) are releasing the first full-length album from their "apartment power-pop band" Antarctigo Vespucci at the end of the month. The record, entitled Leavin' La Vida Loca, follows two EPs that the duo released in 2014 for which they toured the US in November of that year alongside Hard Girls. It will be out on Rosenstock's internet label Quote Unquote Records on the 24th of July as a free download. Cassette tapes will follow in September while vinyl will ship in November; both formats will be available from Rosenstock's physical release label Really Records, and with some sweet colour variations, too. A song off the album called "Impossible to Place" is streaming over at Stereogum.

The Gaslight Anthem's Benny Horowitz returned to play drums on Leavin' La Vida Loca as he had done for the band's preceding releases. The album is described by Stereogum as having been "written while Farren and Rosenstock were preparing for their respective marriages", and marks another achievement in an only half-completed but already busy year for both musicians. Rosenstock released his first solo album We Cool? in March through SideOneDummy Records, whilst Farren issued a split EP with Cursive frontman Tim Kasher for Record Store Day, his own solo EP entitled Where U Are, and finally, his Least Embarrassing Demos 2008-2014 which will be shipped out on July 20th from Cheap Girls frontman Ian Graham's label Business Casual. While Farren supported The Gaslight Anthem on tour in Australia earlier this year, Rosenstock toured extensively alongside Andrew Jackson Jihad, The Smith Street Band and Chumped across the US and Canada shortly before his wedding.

Farren starts a 43-show long tour tomorrow, primarily in support of acoustic powerhouses Dave Hause and Rocky Votolato and ending with multiple performances at Gainesville's The Fest as both a solo act and part of Antarctigo Vespucci. Rosenstock is also set to co-headline a sizeable tour starting at the end of this month with Alkaline Trio bassist Dan Andriano, who will be supporting his second solo album which Rosenstock produced. Needless to say, the year is far from over for two of punk's most prolific players.

Excited for the album, their first EP especially was pretty great.

I'd be happy with an EP to be honest, but this is pretty cool.

@danielito i thought it was obvious that i meant they're both doing separate solo tours for their own solo projects. chris will probably play antarctigo songs acoustic, though, cuz those antarctigo songs are mostly his own
