The Sword have debuted the title track off their upcoming 5th studio effort, entitled High Country. The album is scheduled to be released on August 21 through Razor & Tie.

Decent track. They seem to be going in a mellower, more groove-oriented direction with this one, which could be cool.

Also, that album cover... Tycho much?

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. That cover is definitely somewhere in between Tycho and Elder's new album Lore.

Pretty underwhelming tbh. That being said I haven't checked these guys out for a while but still its pretty meh. The mellower approach is fine and all but it just doesn't engage nearly as much as their old material. Also the album cover is pretty damn terrible not gonna lie. Miss the sci-fi/fantasy schtick
