Strum and twang: The acoustic sessions
| |
Sounds pretty good actually.
| |
better than anything off their past two albums
| |
Pretty solid, sounds like everything else they've ever done though
| |
Pretty damn good song, back to form so far from this.
| |
Fuck those drums are literally gold. He manages to get the best sounds and just rips them to shreds on every album.
| |
His best was on Volition fo real.
| |
Excellent song
| |
These guys are always a fun listen. Some of the best tunes to which you can run.
| |
Better, but still not quite there for me. Just feels like Ruin Part IV to me.
And Windows XP called Randy, they want their ants back.
| |
"His best was on Volition fo real."
He's not wrong.
| |
The song composition is standard Lamb of God, so I'm satisfied.
The lyrics on this album, however, are going to be fucking great.
| |
It's not Strum, it's Sturm.
Sturm und Drang refers to a German movement in literature of the 18th century in which emotions were freely expressed for the first time.

Ashes of the Wake was a real jam back in the day. Song was pretty good, might check this out.
| |
can you tell me what is new about this song? this is just a new result of their standart formula they've had since Wrath. i can't remember where i read but, i remember a review of Resolution saying LoG is becoming "more LoG": songs that sound like kicking ass but there is nothing exciting about that. i hope this is not their best song in the album though. plus, their promos always disappoint me. at least randy improved his song writing skills. i gave it several listens, it's 3/5 at most for me.
| |
This made me itch
| |
Drum production reminds me of 'Wrath' a wee bit.
Sweet song though, always know what you're gonna get with these guys.
| |
Sounds very good.
| |
is pretty good, but it's hard to get excited for the full album for me.
| |
I liked Resolution a lot but this was pretty meh
| |
The ONE band I get to make of him for and I have to wait till after he sees all my posts to make fun of me. Ugh
I get more shit for Rammstein than I do these guys.
| |
Solid as usual.
| |
Wrath had awesome production imo. Drums alone were standout. This has that awesome snare sound and the trademark rolling double kick and tom thing he does.
| |
I've listened to this song 6 times today. I could really go for another good Lamb of God record.
| |
we need better metal albums than the ones we've been getting this year
| |
While She Sleeps is ace tho
| |
That was solid, but even so it wasn't much more than a decent metalcore album. There still isn't that real kick in the ass metal release yet. Hopefully August Burns Red or Deftones will deliver that.
| |
I actually liked this a lot.
These guys are hit or miss for me.
This mah-fuckah hits.
| |
sounds good
| |
Calling that While She Sleeps record JUST decent is underselling it. I'd argue that Sylosis has that "kick in the ass" record but I know how people feel about that band on this site.
I hope your assessment of ABR and Deftones is correct though. I haven't heard many good releases this year so far and 2015 is basically half over.
| |
IMO, While She Sleeps was nothing more than decent. I'm not that big on metalcore these days, though.
| |
This makes me so glad Randy Blythe hasn't been imprisoned. Looking forward to the new album.
| |
Sturm and Drang is also a KMFDM song name from like 10 years ago
| |
I'm so confused why this shows up under "my discussions"
| |
good ol' lamb of god
adler with the sweet blasts
| |
Pretty good.
| |
New song "512" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?t=152&v=TLJiyZk8P2s
| |
Sperm und tang
| |
new song is decent but I liked the last one more
| |
Agreed first track is best
| |
512 is pretty good too, this album migth actually be interesting
| |
after resolution this is a good comeback
kinda excited now
