Psych rock band Tame Impala have released a new single, the eight minute 'Let It Happen'.

This is their first new material since 2012's Lonerism.

Not a fan of psych rock, but i am a big fan of this small change in their sound...

It's good, see they're moving even more towards the synth focus like they did on lonerism. Still hope the rest of the album has some more innerspeaker like guitar sections.

not a bad direction. kind of delves into some nice black moth super rainbow-like territory near the end for a bit (which is great imo). sounds promising.

had a feeling they would be going in a more overtly psych-pop/synthy direction based on KP's interviews and his contributions to mark ronson's album. definitely not a bad thing. also pissed they aren't coming to philly this tour but i've already seen them 3 times and they slay live.
