New xx album on the way

2014-10-27 by East Hastings | 22 Comments
Jamie xx, in an interview with The Fader, revealed that The xx have a new album on
the way.

"We've got quite a lot of songs that are not finished, but I'm excited about it. It feels a
lot more free than when we were making the last record."

Jamie is also reportedly getting closer to releasing his own solo album, which he just
finished mixing in New York.

Coexist was a little bit lacklustre but not bad by any stretch.

More excited for the jamie xx solo stuff, but I don't mind more the xx. I found Coexist to be on par with the debut, and neither is hardly guilty of any other sense of 'boring' than one that refuses to accept anything without 'dem riffs' as interesting.

If you're not being sarcastic, I gotta say I dissagree. They do have similar sounds, I just never connected the dots

Coexist was so lifeless and boring, I literally fell asleep the first time I listened to it.

The best part about the debut was the uptempo drum machines and Interpol-y guitar and both kinda disappeared.
