Polyenso debut new song

2014-10-25 by iGuter | 30 Comments
Polyenso has released the first song from their yet untitled album. The song, entitled '17 New Years', delves into further experimentation then anything they've released before and a sound that drastically differs from their old hardcore act Oceana.

The Huffington Post premiered the song on their website and also has an article that goes into detail on the band's process.

I love these guys so much. This is much poppier than anything on OBPL, but in a good way.

Loved their last release and really love this track. Definitely much poppier but man does it work well. Could care less if they are even taking a more pop approach when it sounds this good.

I love this band so fucking much, and I still love Oceana to this day. Saw them in Brooklyn last year and it was a hell of a show.

Song didn't really seem to go anywhere to me. If the rest of the new album is like this it'll be a big disappointment for me, especially after how awesome OBPL was.

drasticaction, TheCollectiveFacade: OBPL just never hit me right - I was a big fan of Oceana throughout their three releases, maybe OBPL was too much of leap for me. It's probably worth revisiting, since I do like this song more

Am I the only one who loved OBPL and thought this was kinda lame? This reminds me of the song Throwing Punches by The Myriad.
